ppl told me that its not important for ladies to pray salaat a'taraweeh ...... is this right ?:confused:
cant ladies do it in thier houses ????
and what about omraa before the marrige.....:confused:

well...a'taraweeh prayer, is sunna...soo its sunna for both men and women...if you want to go and pray then thats great...you shouldnt hold back....if you and a group of friends want to pray at home jama3a..then thats good too...

Women can go to Omraa, any time just like men...she doesnt have to be married..:confused: ....but best is if she goes with a ma7ram....instead of alone....thats the only difference....

Maya, I disagree when they tell you that Taraweeh is not important...it is important but as Dede said, it is not compulsory. The more you do for Allah, the better it is and inshallah you will be rewarded for the effort you put, if genuine.
So, I will encourage you to pray Taraweeh, even at home, after salat Isha. It is not a must to go to a mosque.

I suppose you mean "Humra"...as Dede said, you don't have to wait to be married to do it. It is my understanding that there is no age for performing it and you can do it as often as it pleases you :). Some muslims go for Humra on a yearly basis. Just make sure you are going with someone you know...it is better.

There is nothing like not important and important when it comes to doing something good in islame. and there is anothing called not for men and not for women.. because everything we are almost alike and almost everything.

So you want to go for humar before you get married please go ahead because honestly i would love to have the chance and do that my self ... !
