this is my first participation in this sablah (sport)..
well.. our teams in oman .. especially their level in football is getting everyday lower and lower .. !!
in the past we could see some teams like dofar, naser, fanja play in big competitions like asian championship for football clubs ... but now i don't see anthing like this..
u only see them in the GCC championship !!..
the second thing is, the level of the omani league, everyday is getting worse and worse!!!
i think the big problem is money and everyone may see this problem...
so how do u think we could improve them..! the league and the level of the teams.. !???!!
i have some solutions.. but first i want to see if my topic is good or not !!!>.
7ayyaakom.. nizwani. ra3i bladi..yallah now i sent a topic..
Unfortunately we don't have many participants in sport Saplah so I don't think your first topic going to attract many members.
I totally agree with you that our Football teams are very poor which is well reflected in a tired league which I personally haven’t followed for about five years now especially when being very close to the English Carling Premiership. I used to follow Nizwa where ever they go and how happy I was when they were promoted to Second Division and really enjoyed a big party across the City Center (that was about 10 years ago) they went down again 3 or 4 years ago. Some of you might think its only Nizwa FC but believe me all our teams are in struggle including the big guns.
1. Football requires professional players.
2. Players need encouragement (Money and psychological support).
3. World class managers are needed to lift us up.
4. More new football *****es are also a must and should be accessible by TALENTED players rather than playing in rocks.
Saudi Arabia followed similar procedures that why they are along way ahead of us.
my idea = local improvements in each club means league improvement which will then lead to National team achievements.

salam nizwani...firsat as long as only few members we got here .. let's try make it active.. and i find it interesting topic to discuss.. so just let's try to give our views.. i agree with everything u said.. and i add more.. i think there are many steps could be done in order to minimise at least the problem.. one step is to incorporate some teams ..we got 51 teams.. some of them their members may not exceed 1000 !!! which is unaccepted in my opinion.. the incorporation process may help lots.. !!
one other thing, look at the number of matches each team plays along way the season . strange only about 20 matches !! and this is definately not enough .. look at teams in UK the premiership...lots of matches..
i think also the idea of 4th devision in oman made it worse..!! illi yisme3 aygool oman is crowded with its teams !!.. la 7oool..
ohh yeah .. i am doing management in my subject .. and don't be shocked that i am dreaming to held nizwa team in the future cause i got great idea about management ...and i can go deeply in the way how to manage though it is still my first year.. and the coming is more.. !!
7ayyakom..
Yes, we do have so many clubs but our clubs aren't just football clubs. We have small clubs like Man7 and Liwa who are doing very well in Cultural and Religious competitions not just in Oman but in GCC as well. The clubs in Oman are responsible for a wide range of activities in each town and that what makes it unacceptable for so many people to just join another club,,,, it's really understandable!!. I would totally agree with you in clubs coalition if these clubs were only FCs. I still think Oman shouldn't need more than 40 football teams at the moment.
The other point regards the few matches that being played in a season. I think we only need two or three divisions not four, first division with 18 teams and second division with 18 and the rest are on division three. This should provide more football matches to be played and a much compatible league.
shall we have football only clubs?!!

well.. i've been away for a while.. ohhh still in this boring topic which has no answer only from the ppl who are in charge... any way, i guess we share the same ideas, one point i liked in what u said .. is that our culbs are not Fc's ... there should be as i understood from u independent clubs for football which may not even reach 40 .. it should be less i think ..
ohh gosh man .. the other thing is the money .. whatever happens.. i think there would be no benefit as long as the government still doesn't support these clubs with an acceptable support and provide them with the facilities and good coaches .. we are late in football nearly 50 years if some steps were taken .. but if the current situation remains the same , then we are late in football not for 50 years.. i guess foreverrrrr !! ..
7ayyaakom ...
YOU HAVE GOT ONE MORE PLAYER IN YOUR TEAM...NOW 3 OF US ;)
Me too agree to all of your points...and its true the standard is quit low in Oman. As far as I can remember there wasn't really a breakthrough in our National team parfomanse, only occasional.....but it shouldn't be like this at all....Oman has a potential and we should be better.
Another point I like to mansion is that.....for rising the standard...we have to start from the grassroots that means very early ages..say age of 6/7. The problem here is who will let his kids concentrate on football during that age and above instead of his studies. The solution I think is there should be sports periods in schools and grass pitches where school teems can practice and have inter school tenements,by the time they are in high school..say age of 16 football will be already in their bones, and will need only little encouragement and support later on to be a full player on a big local team.
Apart of all the points you have already mention....There also should be a follow ups of the 1st & 2nd division tournaments..you know like more local matches to be transmitted on the TV as well as international ones. So there are many things which are missing in Oman for rising the standard... but all these needs money...and this is what we're short of.
All the best.
slami to all of you,,
Welcome 4amity, we are very happy to have you as a third party but I have to disagree in your main point that you made,,,
At the time being, Do we really need to raise kids from age 6/7 how to play football??? I don’t think so, kids at that age better learn how to write and read, walking is enough sport for them.
Why did I say that ??? simply because our problem is different from other advanced football countries like England and Germany so we don't need to copy them by building football schools.
Our kids aged between 10-15 do naturally love football and spend hours playing it, from finishing dinner to sun set in all areas, beaches, gardens, soil, mountains ,,,,just everywhere.
In fact our Young heroes are amongst the best in the World. They can simply qualify to the world cup and do very well. We are the best in Asia after collecting another Asian cup last summer. Under age of 18 our teams are also doing very well in GCC competitions , I think Al’7aboorah got the first or second place last time. Sur and fanja won it before.
So what I am trying to demonstrate is that we have the base and need to find solutions for bad performances that our young players develop when they reach the age of 20.

halla all
Iam new member , In ather country they give each player salary but in oman the player should work and play . see in uae or ather country if the team win any cup they give each player money and gift but what in oman they do for player .
So how u want them to go up they must come down . If one player he have family so he will work for his family not to spend time in practsing football . but in ather country the player get saleary so they spend time on football .
D u guys agree with me

salam guys..
well .. sorry being away for a bit long time.. uhh i hate it studies back again !! too much to do ..
any way .. i didn't even got the time to read what has been written before.. i only could catch the last post .. which is concerned more with the salaries.. well .. yeah Mr aboui.. u r right.. but where to get the money in our teams.. first let those who are responsible and those on charge to watch themselves and deal with the clubs they hold fairly.. i mean .. u know how they play with the money and how to deal with them.. allah yir7em oo y3een bess.. and pluss all that .. there aren't eough resources or support .. dam it !!..
the other thing is .. which is really upsetting .. u may see only some stated players play with the team for long time.. ye3ni ilwaaaaas6eh .. see for instance in our national team.. players since 1988 still playing in the team !! .. those players got the chance to play and they did play for long time.. the thing is that they still in the team !! they were supposed to be out and the give the chance to someone else.. they couldn't do anything.. therefore they should be out.. and let other join the team .. but what to do !!.. the same problem in some clubs ..u can see the same players playing for long time.. no updating at all !!>.
well.. might my words not be liked by some of u .. but i think all what i said is true and clear .. !! see u later .. have nice time.. wanna see ur comments ..
halla alll

hala..
well.. mr. aboli.. yeah maybe as u said.. but no one knows about the future.. life should always be trrials..!! there are some playesr who are really great players.. but no one care about them.. they don't h ave the chance to show what they hide from skills and encourage.. well.. changing is important in life.. that team should be changed every 3 or 4 years if it does nothing .. and give the chance to others.. this is way it should be taken.. any way ,,,
see u .. bye bye ..
salam mr ReVeLuTiOnAl^
yeah i agree with u if they give the chance to ather player but i don`t think they will do it lets see no one knows
