NICK CARTER - 'HELP ME' (JIVE)[b]

[b]Dotmusic Review:

Help us more like. No, let's be fair. It could be a lot worse.

For those of you who aren't familiar with N.C, he's filled his life so far between toddling and manhood as one fifth of the world's most successful boyband, the Backstreet Boys. Not a bad first job and one that certainly beats a paper round. Bearing this in mind he seems remarkably unscathed, or at least he does on the surface.

For comparisons sake, see him as the equivalent of Ronan - wholesome, boyish good looks, dull - only with more money in the bank. He's gone for rugged and come out looking and sounding as rough and ready as a baby's bottom.

"Help me, make the right decisions, know which way to turn," sings Carter. Well, at this particular crossroads in his career, we can reveal he's gone for the pop rock-lite option instead of replicating BSB standards with different titles. Fair play, but either way it's hardly a risk strategy for a young man with a fanclub membership that probably out-numbers the entire population of England.

well, i listened to the song, and don't think it's as bad as the dotmusic review says it is. it's the usual of what the bsb deliver but without the rest of the guys singing, which is a shame, cause am sure this would have been big if it was sung by the whole gang.
