Request to the Ministry of Information

this is really a very dangrous thing especially in a country of muslim culture. who is responsible for checking the IDs in the video rent shops or buying shops...

if we don't care about our people, and about our children, who will care are you waiting for the monkey jews or christians to come to care for us!!!!!

we -muslims- should take every single problem and fix it ourselves.


soooooo from this place we request from the Ministry of Information to take this problem into account amd make a great provision on the imports of videos and CDs and DVDs, as well as making provision on the shops that sells them.

i wish that you vote with me, and wish from the people who are responsible in this sablah pass our request to the Ministry of Informations

This is a nice topic
I know two people ( the main checker ) who chick the movies and all the stuff ,,, believe me they are very nice people and they are very tired from there job ,,, because sometimes ( people with big wasta ,,, like very powerful people ) are passing there cassetes and film movies without chicking ,,, and as I know my friends trying to stop them as possible as they can ,,, but they are poor people some times they can't do it.
Don't forget the diplomatic bags which are full of nasty films and playboy magazines ,,, if you don't believe me ask the omanies who works in these embasies ( they can get this stuff from the foriegners ).
Also don't forget the special flights ( like army police and royal flight people ) you know that these airflights can bring any stuff in the country without chicking ,,, don't say no because oman is soo small and I know many people did it and they told as and they are proud that they brought these movies especially the s** movies.
I think the ministry of information is trying his best but the powerful people as usual distroing the rools.

I guess Ministry Of Information can only be held responsible for the stuffs it broadcasts. As for the imported movies and stuffs, these things are the sole responsibility of Ministry of Heritage and Culture.

You are afraid of movies and magazines and ignoring a bigger source of pornographical materials; "Satellites". Watching erotical movies has become very easy in any part of the world now. So, instead of blaming the goverment, vote against porno channels and sattelites, IF YOU WILL!!!!

As for how people use thier authorities to bring illegal stuffs like movies and magazines, believe me, anyone can do that especially through our airport. I brough a lot of LEGAL magazines and movies back home several times and no body stoped me to check them out!!!!!

what <HATE_QOOM_LOOT> and <The_Unscrupulous> said is encouraging us more to complain to the Ministry of Informatin to prohibit these stuff, and make some ristrictions on some chennals of the satellites...
because we are muslims in a muslim land of the best schollars (3ulamaa) on earth in the past and even at present... our fathers and grandfathers were the best of muslims... how can we keep silent about these evil stuff in our pure land (Oman)...

so please support this idea untill it reach the Ministry of Informations, and the Ministry of Culture...wish from the people who are responsible in this sablah to pass our request to the Ministries mentioned above with many graet thanks.

Our minesters has no sense , they will never stop these channels because they watch these channels by them self and they call it freedom ( la3nat allah 3ala hatha el 7oreyah el zayedah ).
