most of us heard about this dissease , why we don't discuss about it here and try to know some information about it..
not like it sounds, heart failure does not mean that the heart suddenly stopped working or that you are about to die.
heart failure is a common condition that usually develops slowly as the heart muscle weakens and needs to work harder to keep blood flowing through the body.

heart failure develops following injury to the heart such as the damage caused by a heart attack, long-term high blood pressure, or an abnormality of one of the heart valves.
the weakened heart must work harder to keep up with the demands of the body, which is why people with heart failure often complain of feeling tired.

one of the common cause of heart failure in oman is crdiomyopathy which has types... here the muscle of the heart becomes weak because of unknown resaons...

if u wnat to know the symptoms of heart failure,, firts understand the function of teh heart... it takes blood from the body and pump them to various part of teh brain..

so in hear failure:
- herat can take blood from the body ( backward / preloadfailure): thus fluid start accumulating in the body like havind swelled legs, distended abdomen.
- heart can't pump blood to teh body: here as mentioned above the body will feel tired plus if it is sever it can causes damage to organs..

these are some basic information about heart failure,, if u got something please do inform us..

Isn't pulmonary embolism part of heart failure? Or is it just one of the consequences?

u know blood from body goes to veins and then to right side of heart and later to the lungs..
in pulmonary embolism, a clot is formed in any part of teh body and it keeps moving till the right side of heart, and then to lungs where channels get narrower so teh clot will be tarpt there..
and depending on the size of the clot , it can increase the blood pressure in lungs ( pulmonary hypertension) and leads to right side herat failure.. this is called cor-pumonale
