Simply go to the exe file that runs the software .
run click it and choose compatibilty tab
choose win 95 98 ..etc
This will illustrate :

and you may choose the screen rosolution you want because xp only has 16 and 32 bit ( that's what i have , and changing it might be useful for some games .
but some games as the age of kings still can't run .
try it ., and tell me what happens :)
