My question is to ladies :
if your tyre went flat , do you change it yourself , or ask for help ?
and my question to gentlemen :
what would you think if you see a lady changing ger car's tyre herself ?
in what cases do you offer help - if you do- ?

As i am a lady (meaning that i answer this q): i would be forced to ask for help as i dont know how to chage a tyre..but i would really like to learn...
Well, to be frank I would find it hard to change a tyre when there are so many men around dying to change it for you!!
it happned twice with me :) i just stand out i call my dad/brother and before they arrive i alway get help from gents on the road!

well , as for me I have the knowhow , but haven't had a flat tyre yet - newly driving - :)
I would most definitely do it myself, waiting for some guy to do it seems lame. (no offence girls;) )

It happned once to me. I managed to drive where I used to study, called my collegues and they did not mind changing it for me :)
I witnessed tyres being changed more then once. I think I know the teqnique but I wont change it myself unless it is really necessery.
i don't mind to help..
it happened to me once where i helped a lady from squ,, and i remeber well how my dishdasha looked like..
i also help men i mean old men.. and for young i only help them when their car can not be started..

lady= tire fixed in 2 minutes (external effort)
man= tire fixed in 2 minutes (personal effort)
indian= tire never fixed

i ll call AAA to toe her car then i'll take her to her home or where ever she wants to go :)

no i wouldnt do it by myself..number 1..its too hot to stand out side :p number 2..i dont know how..it happened to me once..guys stopped to offer me help..but i called my cousin to do it..he dint even do it lol..he took the car to a place hahaha..

Since i love cars.. if i had a flat tyre i will do it my self.. its good to have experiance in something.. and once am done with it am sure lots of ppl will be impressed!

i dont think i can change it by myself..if this situation happened to me i would call my brother...if i didnt find him i will just wait until a guy comes and fix it for me :D
Even if I thought of given a help I won’t find a parking due to the number of guys :help: , whom dieing to offer their help. :)

but if it happen ,, i will call my father/brother ,, i dona think am gona do it my slef at all ,,

I'd think, hmm cool girl :p though I would think she should of let a male family member come and change it for her. Or even one of the people who might stop to help. WHY? first, cause you just get dirty easily and its out in a public place, people are watching and her doing all that process could even attract more people.

Normally, I'd instantly stop and offer help, but cause of this universal idea most of the girls have, that guys will be just dying to help her. I'll just drive away :p especially if it was a road common road with lots of cars, definitely someone will stop in that case. But if it wasnt a road that lots of cars pass by it. Then I'll have to stop.
LOL , I know how to change a tyre :D ..proud me.
I would start doing it myself , then I know someone might offer to help , and I wouldnt hesistate to let them finish the job ..but I don't mind changing it by myself.

my brothers taught me once to do it..they actually made ME do the job all by myself..and i got all dirty and sweaty cause of the hot sun..and it was only around 4:00!!! but it was fun -in a way-..:)
but then again .. they told me....no matter what..call us 1st b u do anything!
Well Noble Man like me will always help anyone regardless She is or He is...
But I would suggest to ladies at home to try to fix tyre even if its not flat for the sake of learning You never know sometimes help may not be there!!!

Its better for a lady to change her own tyres, sometimes waiting for the other wont take you to anywhere.

I dont beleive i have seen a lady changing her flat tyre.. except for the ones in a rally.. :think:
Presonally i woundnt stop and help with the tyre.. :mmhmm: quite sure that many plp will be jumping over to help.. plus its not like you will get a date or anything!! so why bother.. :think:

I've learned how to change ma flat tires, so thank God, me need no help from any1 if I face such situation....
I do advice all the girls whom drive cars to learn such thing, U may be stranded somewhere n perhaps no one is passing around, U could always help ur self.

.. once i saw 2 bedwin ladies changing a flat tyre.. i *and my bro* stopped to see if they wanted help but they were almost done.. so we just left..

I wouldn't mind, I took a mechanical course, that taught me the baiscs about cars, like, changing a flat, checking & changing the oil, etc.
But, if I struggled with it, I would ask for help. So far, I didn't change no tire. :)
I am so not gonna change it , first i don't know how , 2nd don't wanna break my nails , 3rd its just so weird am sure ppl would love to stare while am at it.
Am Just gonna lock myself in the car and call family for help.
But its always good to know how to change a flat tyre coz subhan allah you never know when u r in desperate need and no one around to help.

Haha ditto.
Changing a flat tyre is too macho of a chore, something I don't see myself doing.
If women want to have equal rights with men then they must change tyres including trucks tyres.
I've seen guys having difficulty changing tyres in thier own :os makes me wonder really!
If you know it, you know it! If you don't know then learn or ask for help:p

I have seen girls change Hummer H1 tires. Also re-connect the air system. Id like to have them around on camping trips. I could get out a deck chair and a cold drink. Watch the action.
Can not imagine girls change tyres .. They could call anyone to fix it for them :)

I used to be a little car fanatic myself. Used to service my own car, let alone change tyres. The only time I would let a man do it for me is when I'm on my way out somewhere important and can't afford to get my hands dirty.
There is nothing to changing a tyre except the getting dirty part. It's not like one has to lift the car on his own back.
And just like high heels. Practice makes perfect. :D

Not really. Besides, you won't need to lift it for too long. Only until you align it with the bolts. Getting it there and back from the boot, you can simply roll it on the floor.
Look at it as if you are carrying 4 bags of heavy groceries. :D
Certainly do-able, albeit not as glamorous.

ladies, dont give head aches to guys, and follow the following ten simple steps instead:
1. get the spare tyre out
2. get the tool kit out
3. Loosen the Bolts on the tyre
4. put the jack in the proper place under the car so it wont fall and raise the jack
5. take the bolts out and so old tyre out
6. put the old tyre in and the bolts in again
7. tighten the bolts while the car still on jack
8. lower the jack, and try to tighten the bolts as hard as you can
9. get the flatten tyre in spare tyres place
10. put the tool kit back in its place, and drive home

Usually they change it for me, but the last time, I made sure i see every single step they do to change my car tires. It is not as diffecult as first I thought. Now i can easly do it :-)), and happy that I know. I want to change it by my self, but the problem is no one will let me. Even if I was able to convince my family, so i do it by my self. Every guy passes by will insist on doing it by him self :-)), in fact, it happened to me, and told them 100 times thanks, but they said no we will do it :-/
1) you take the car lefter from the DABAH ( I forgot what is it called in english )
2) you put it under the car, start pressing it by your leg tell the car lefts up.
3) you take off the TASAH ( I don't know what is it called in english )
3) you use the screwier to open the tires SCAREIB ( I don't know what is it called in english )
4) You take off the tire, bring the new tire from the DABAH.
5) put it instead of the old one, put in again the SCAREIB and tight it will, return the TASAH on top.
6) Lower the car down using the lefter, and finally take the car to the where they sell tires.
7) Let them make sure the car balance is right, better to let them fill all tires with air, don't forget to buy a new spare tire,
forgot , you got to show them the old tire, maybe it can be easily repaired, as I repaired mine several times instead of buying new :-)

for me, i would try 2 check 1st if the guy/girl needs help,
if i see he/she can handle the situation, i would go on my way...
if i see that there's a problem, i would help (unless im in a hurry or cant stop 4 some reason).
and my opinion is that a girl shouldnt change her tire by herself, unless no1 helped her out...

I don't agree..It could be harmful for girls to do it plus you need to tighten that bolts real good, a girl changing wheel on the road doesn't look that good just let a guy do it there are many will be happy to help..

a girl waiting 4 help isnt a bad thing, but she changing her tires by herself, that doesnt suits girls...
off course i prefer if she calls a relative, a random guy on the road would be plan B
