I thought buddhists were kaffirs as well?
No matter, the point I was making was that having a lot of followers and being around for a long time doesn't make something true.
Another empty question !!!

if it's empty, why not answer it?

what shows that Mohammed "peace be upon him" is not fraud are many factors.
He was illitrate, and the Quran that he brought was something that amazed the great writers of Arabia.
He changed alot in the arab world. Maybe you dont see it those days but the attitude of the bedouins has changes. They were so barbaric, they have no etiquitte in everything they do. Islam (prophet mohammed) changed those barbaric behaviour into a more civilised behaviur. Who follow Islam correctly, you would see that they are more civilised than others.
pophet MOhammed was known before being a prophet of being so pious.
these are few of the edivdence that Prophet MOhammed (may peace be upon him) was not a fraud.
No answer for empty questions, fact of life .

Lots of people have brought about change, far greater than Mohammed, lots of people have been illiterate, what about all the biblical prophets?

AP,
simply that Islam has been around for a number of years and that there are many followers is not evidence that Mohammed was not a fraud
we know almost nothing about the life of the Muslim prophet Mohammad and the rapid rise of the religion can be attributed, at least in part, to the attraction of Islam's message of conquest and jihad for the tribes of the Arabian peninsula
IceTea,
please explain how this is an empty question?
or are you someone who lacks the intellectual capacity to think outside of what mummy told you?
you must be very easy to manipulate if you believe everything you are told
feel free to consult the fire people for your answer
Maybe I need to teach u how to figure out empty questions from non one's.

For us, Muslims, the question of Muhammed’s true prophet hood is indisputable..we firmly believe that he is a true prophet and messenger of God, through whom God’s divine revelations throughout history were culminated and perfected, thus forming the universal divine message to human kind (Islam)..
To clear your doubts, I have consulted a booklet by Dr Jamal Badawi, with the title “Muhammed’s Prophet hood, An Analytical view”, from which I shall try to summarize the main points related to the topic..
Conscious Fabrication?
Deliberate fabrication, like other patterns of human behavior Is likely to have a goal; the satisfaction of certain human needs. Arrogation of prophethood may thus be motivated either by some material benefit or by aspiration to status, glory and power…
Fabrication for Material Gains?
To look at it from this aspect, lets shed some light on the prophet’s financial status before & after prophethood..
Before…
Before his mission as a prophet, Muhammed (pbuh) had no financial worries.. his wife, Khadeeja, had made available to him all what he needed. As a successful merchant, the prophet drew satisfactory income..it is ironic that the same man, after his mission as a prophet and because of it, became worse off materially..
After…
To briefly describe the prophet’s life after his mission, lets consider several narrations of his companions..
Aisha narrated that a month or two might have elapsed before fire was lit in the prophet’s house to cook a meal, while the household subsisted on mlik and dates.
When Omar ibn Alkhattab went to see Muhammed, he noticed that “the contents of his room comprised of only three pieces of tanned skin and a handful of barely lying in a corner. I looked about but failed to find anyting else. I began to weep. He said: ‘why are you weeping?’ I replied: ‘O prophet of Allah’ why should I not weep? I can see the mat’s pattern imprinted on your body and I am also beholding you all that you have got in this room…The prophets reply was ‘O, Omar! Are you still in doubt about this matter? Ease and comfort in the hereafter are much better than ease and comfort in this world’ ”
In a long narrative, Bilal reported that on one ocassion Muhammed received a gift of four loaded camels, yet he took nothing for himself and hefurther insisted that he would not go home until the whole lot is given away to the needy,
At the time of his death, and inspite of his victories and achievements, Muahmmed (pbuh) was in debt, and his shield was in the hands of a Jewish citizen of Madina as a collateral for that debt!
I shall leave the space for you to decide now…are there any indications of materialistic motives behind Muhammed’s claim of prophethood???

Odd indeed, that a successful Arab businessman would be illiterate. How did he track his wares and profits ?
Talius Brute

My thoughts exactly.
And, if he was illiterate, who wrote down the quran?
Or was his hand guided by the heavens?

Mohammed was hired by Khadija to manage her business affairs
he was attracted by her wealth

I wonder why you choose to ignore the content and focus only on the writer of most of the comments you don't agree with.
Ah well, maybe things will be better for you in the future.
AS I said, I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use, you obviously don't mind.

Arby, Pino's question is a valid one,
the question of whether one ever doubts is very much an interesting and human question.

I did not give a warning for Pino's Question, I gave a warning for him attacking muslims. When he did not like Samaki's thread he did not relate what he wrote to Samaki, he realted it to muslims and I find that an offence to Muslims!!
Mr Tickle

is OBL a Muslim?
Talius Brute

So no Muslim can be wrong, or misguided?
all Muslims are perfect, the perfect race, a race of supramen.
Interesting.

Muslims are human, they make mistakes like any other people. THat does not mean that you all the have the right to offend them!!!
Mr Pino,
he calls for "there is no god but ALLAH and prophet Mohammed (may be peace be upon him) is indeed a prophet of Allah" that itself makes him a muslim. What he does will be judged between him and ALLAH, its not up to me to judge him.
A muslim who drinks is a muslim, his sins are recorded and ALLAH will punish him. I cant deprive the right of him being a muslim just because he drinks or eat pork!!

If one finds a person who points out faults and who reproves, one should follow such a wise and sagacious person as one would a guide to hidden treasure. It is always better, and never worse, to cultivate such an association.
