friends,
Today I wish to talk about Reason. What would the world be without Reason? We would be a pack of degenerated , aimless and hateful savages. We would be full of misguided and extreme anger. Misguided, I say because without reason our anger when suppressed is directed at the innocent. Extreme I say because it is only reason that tells us the limits we must set for our anger. Today in the car I was temporarily insane. I was burning with irritation and animosity at my friends and students. Why ? because I felt , that they were a pack of pain giving, sadists.
I told myself that I was going to burn in hell for the hatred that they had made me have. I told myself that as long as I was a hateful man I had nothing to lose. I was going to hell. So why not cause pain to the people I despised and hated ?
Now friends does this sound like the tranquil voice of sanity or the ravings of an insane man ? it is a raving lunatic that I was. I told myself that they were diabolical and evil.
True. They are diabolical and evil some of them. But that we were going to burn in hell ? that I was going to burn in hell and have pleasure watching them burn ? nay my friends no.Infamita.
truly I say to you that there can be no civilised and safe world if reason is not prized greatest among the elements of sturdy and balanced & well formed character.
Friends, I must admit to you that I am a religious man. I have been so since Jan this year. I am a man who believes in God. Therefore it is my reasoning that the greatest truth in this world, the most exalted truth of all is that God is in everyone of us. In gays and lesbians, in murderers and liars and in adulterers and adulteresses.
It is Reason that has led me to believe that it is an unfortunate mix of chemicals that has caused many of the problems in this world which is due to sick minds. There are many people in this world who have serious chemical inadequacies. But mine is veryminor
yet it is present. With god’s help I can overcome this insanity.
