Paper Planes is about weed dude, that's why everyone likes it. It was also the theme song for the movie 'Pineapple Express' :p

She's good but I don't think she's as fantastic or original as people make her out to be. I like a few songs of hers but none that I feel like I want to go back to over and over again.

Her beats are very trippy, I like. And she IS original, she is incredibly unique.

Paper Planes and XR2 and Bamboo Banga are trip-material songs.

What's so original about taking beats that already existed in Indian/Asian songs, recycle and then mainstream them? It's like an Arab singing an English song to Arabic beats and instrumentations.

On her album Kala I found only one song that was taken from an old Indian soundtrack, it's called 'Jimmy'. My mom recognized it, she doesn't even know who M.I.A. is.
