They are made of both Kevlar and Aluminum, and are located in the rear of the Jeep under 3/8" thick tinted lexan (so it can't be broken) The box is MDF and has 1" of fibreglass on it's exterior and another inch of fibre glass on the interior (inside the box) The box and amp rack are secured to the floor of the jeep using 24 carriage bolts. For this procedure the gas tank had to be temporarily removed. Under the Lexan are 3 blue neon lights for added effect at night, as well as the two new amps. The subs are powered by a Zapco AG 1000, and the MB Quart's in the system are powered by an AG 650.Let me finish by saying this is the clearest sounding system. Having come from (2) JL 12W6's, these babies are crystal clear in comparison. The box design does play a crutial role in their sounding so true, but none the less they are off-the-hook awesome. Yet they are not as deep a sub as the 12W6 (rumble), however they are tighter (punch). Regardless the 12W6 is still a great sub in my mind. These babies produce enough bass to make the music still sound good without the nuisance of overpowering bass.

The Rear Compartment with it's NEW Custom Hand Made Cargo Cover. All the Stitching was Professionally Embriodered, and the Patches are Genuine Jeep patches including the AMC Jeep Patch. This cover was not purchased, rather it was hand made to exact specifications allowing it to be secured without having to drill any holes in the Jeep.

The Lexan as mentioned above not only serves to protect the equipment (as you may or may not know, Lexan is practically impervious to all types of punnishment, including continuous hits with a sledge hammer), but the Lexan also provides a surface for which to provide back-preassure for the subs to fire against. This helps produce tighter cleaner bass, while helping to extend the life of the otherwise doomed Voice coils.

Sub Amp: Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 (1x1200 Watts @ 4 Ohms, tested at 1462 Watts @ 4 Ohms!!) I decided to go with the Tantrum series over the Titanium line because the JL sub is very hungry for power and the Ti1000.2 was not available at time of installation!
