Nokia..you can try the book stores mentioned by the members, and if you didnt find any, you can try surfing the Bible through the net..just go to any search engine and type "Bible" and you'll get many websites that give you access to the different versions of the Bible..
Though I prefer having the book infront of me, but the online one has many advantages..one advantage is that you can type in the word that you want to look for and get all the vesres within seconds...

We have a couple of different bibles at home. I havent read them - but theyre good for reference. If you cant find them in shops, try asking at the churches?
Which bible are u exactly looking for. I would be happy to inform me if u tell me which version dear.

If you can't find a copy in one of the bookstores you can go buy one from either of the church libraries. There's a church in Ruwi and another in Ghala.
If you want an Arabic translation most Arabic bookstores have them.

Actually NOT......
Christian and Hindu worship is permitted, and Sultan Qaboos has given land for the construction of centers of worship for these religions.
It is illegal for non-Muslims to proselytize Muslims.
If as a non muslim if I gave you a bible, it may be seen as proselytizing.......meaning trying to get you to change your religion.......
Which in reality means no Jehovah witnesses banging on your door evry Sunday morning at 7AM....Thank God!!!!
That makes Oman a paradise.....

I would suggest getting the Douay-Rheims Bible, or the New American Bible, though for the NAB it might be good to find a rather older copy of it (1970 eiditon or so), since the new edition of it has inclusive language, which the Catholic Church rather discourages.

Not much, if you mean what's written on it pe se; however, the slanting of the commentaries on it can have an impact on how you interpret the passages. For instance, the New International Version (NIV) is aimed at an Evangelical Protestant perspective. The New American Bible is very much Catholic. Catholic Bibles have 73 books as well; Protestants mostly have 66 books.
