I thought of opening a separate thread where we could talk exclusively about children's movies.

It might be to the interest of parents who already have small children; to members who want to buy a video or DVD to their younger brothers or sisters; and suprisingly, it might also be to the interest of you and me!

The creation of children's movies has changed so much over the years thanks to the computer world. The designs are more refined with a more realistic approach; the colors more beautiful; the characters more complex and fascinating; and the story increadibly more captivating. These all studies combined gave birth to a wanderful imaginative world which can be enjoyed by children all over the world, as well as by you adults.

Enjoy! :)

My first post, which was earlier mentioned in "Let's Talk Movies Here", is the recent movie "Shrek"

I just bought "Shrek" for my kids and I can honesly say that I was as fascinated as them! It is so hilarious and brilliantly created. I believe it is all computerly done and the film got 4.5 stars out of 5. The donkey who's voice is Eddie Murphy's is so, so funny! The colors are beautiful, especially when seen on a big screen and the story so interesting. I already saw it 3 times and don't mind watching it over again.

So if you have a little one next to you, make him or her watch it and you will no move too :)

i love disney and dream works cartoons!! i don't think they're only made for children as the level of writing is really strong. look at last years disney cartoon Atlantis!! i mean..that's too complicated for children to understand and maybe that's why it didn't do really well in the box office (only 90 million$)!! but hey..i loved the cartoon and thought it was really well done!!! i especially like the fact that there weren't any sngs in it (unlike 99% of disney cartoons).

How many people have seen Toy Story, and Toy Story 2?? I really love these movies, they are my sons favorite...The graphics are so realistic looking, and the story plots are really good. Tom Hanks plays the voice for "Woody"....a must see for every-1

Dorellam, yes I have watch many times "Toy Story 2" and it is indeed very well realized. It is amazing what computers can do visually!

I am sure you must have heard of "Chicken Run" which is not only wanderfully done, but hillarious! The numerous visual touches of the movie and the tactile quality of the animations make us want to reach and touch these chickens! The movie has a good story and smart "charachters".
It is a must see by children, as well as adults.
