Its become quite evident in many people here in the US. More people than you know suffer from some sort of anxiety disoder (Paranoia, Panick attacks, nervousness)....

As I have discussed this issue with fellow friends and co-workers, I could not believe how many people say that have or do suffer from anxiety in one form or another. I myself have suffered from anxiety in the past......

Is anxiety a big problem in your country??...and what may be causes of it?

Anxiety disorders are common psychiatric disorders. Many patients with anxiety disorders experience physical symptoms related to anxiety and subsequently visit their primary care physicians. Despite the high prevalence rates of these anxiety disorders, they often are under recognized and under treated clinical problems. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV) classifies the anxiety disorders into the following categories:

· Anxiety due to a general medical condition
· Substance-induced anxiety disorder
· Generalized anxiety
· Panic disorder
· Acute stress disorder
· Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
· Adjustment disorder with anxious features
· Social phobia
· Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
· Specific phobias

Anxiety disorders appear to be caused by an interaction of biopsychosocial factors, including genetic vulnerability, which interact with situations, stress, or trauma to produce clinically significant syndromes. In the central nervous system, the major mediators of the symptoms of anxiety disorders appear to be norepinephrine and serotonin. Other neurotransmitters and peptides, such as corticotropin-releasing factor, may be involved. Peripherally, the autonomic nervous system, especially the sympathetic nervous system, mediates many of the symptoms.

hope u wont find difficulties to understand it...
hope it was usefull :)

Miss Naughty it will be good idea to explain the meaning of the medical terms you use.

Suggestion u can put a list of all medical terms u use in your post at the end of it as glossary and explain the meaning of each term.

Alot of anxiety cases come from situations within a household, or bad relationships. The reason I had anxiety before is because I was being stalked by some psycho guy....in fact I would say that a lot of people here have anxiety because of a stalker, enemy, or other social problem.....kinda scary:(

"Anxiety disorders appear to be caused by an interaction of biopsychosocial factors, in other simple word genetic suscibitibilty which interacts woith situation like stress or trauma ... and all of this interaction causes a clinical disorder.
in the brain, the major mediators(substance which aggriviate) the symptoms of anxiety disorders appear to be two chemical substances called norepinephrine and serotoninas well as other chemicals which stimulate the verves are involved...."

There is 2 types of anxiety. One is a symptoms and the problem or u can call it as an illness. The symptoms everyone can experience it (i.e. being anxious about the exam, u have done something wrong or mistake, ..etc) But about the problem it’s a matter of duration, where also if the problem finished u still feel worried and anxious for no reason…
