restart you fone press *3370#
check for serial no. press *#06#
check the first date your phone was Operated press *#0000#

serial no. juts incase your phone is stolen you can always report the serial no.
if you buy second hand phone you can know how long is the phone has been used to avoid being cheted.

The *3370# code is for boosting your phone when the signal and stuff is bad, but this uses up battry power. to increase you stand by time and to deactivate the above code use#3370#

Apparently inside your 5110 there are a few chips that, when edited, bring up a network monitor menu. Here's the info that I have on it:
1.Check your software version. You can only continue if you have v4.33, v4.73 or v5.24.
2.Take apart the phone.
3. De-solder the EEPROM (ATMEL AT 24C64).
4. Read out the data with an EEPROM programmer and save it to a file (Backup).
5. If you have v.33 or v4.73, change the address "03B8" from "00" to "FF".
6. If you have v5.24 then change the address "0378" from "00" to "FF".
7. Write the new data to the EEPROM and solder it back to the phone.
8. Power on your phone and you should have "Netmonitor" enabled.

The Reboot Trick
Should work on all software versions.
1. Go to calendar (menu - 8)
2. Make note / reminder
3. Enter some text into the edit box
4. Hold clear until whole text is cleared, then press Back
5. Press 0. Main screen is shown but a space appears on the screen. You can't see it of course.
6. Enter 4 digits (1234, for example)
7. Use the down arrow to move the cursor to the left side of the numbers and the space (2 times down arrow)
8. Now enter 6 digits and press the green "Call button".

The James Bond Trick
If you short-circuit the left middle and right pins on the bottom of the phone with all connections touching each other, the Nokia software hangs! The profile "Headset" will be activated. Before you do this just activate the "Automatic Answer" in the headset profile and set the ringing volume to "Mute". Now you can use your phone for checking out what people are talking about in a room. Just place it under a table in a room and call it. The phone receives the call without ringing and you can listen to what people are saying.

When your phone is locked to a certain service it can be frustrating, especially if that service is vodafone! Check this out!
Bypass the SP lock
With a Nokia 16xx/21xx/31xx/51xx/81xx that are SIMlocked to one privider you can bypass the SP lock like this:
1: Insert sim card of diferent provider.
2: Turn on the phone and press the UP VOLUME key for 3 sec. then release it and the phone says PIN CODE?
3: Press the "C" key.
4: Then Press * and wait until it disappear and appear again, then press * one more time and 04*PIN*PIN*PIN#
The phone now says: PIN CODE CHANGED (or ACCEPTED) and the SIM card is accepted until you restart the phone again. NOTE: On version 5.04 Nokia has removed this option !

Crazy 5110
Send a SMS full of . (dots) the it'll go crazy when you scroll the received message in your 5110. It doesn't do any permanent damage...it only goes crazy if you scroll the SMS. I'm not sure if it works with all of the software version but it works with 4.59. Doesn't work on SW version 4.53 ..

Free Call Tip
NB. The tips needs Net Monitor enabled. Be aware that the trick wil remove Netmonitor in some SW versions like v4.73 and v5.04.

1. Launch the NetMonitor in your Nokia 51xx / 61xx
2. Execute the test number 497
3. Free calling for about 90 sec should now have been activated.

The trick has not been comfirmed working yet.

Remember, I don't know if all this this works, I got it off a site and not actually owning a 5110 I can't text it. Thanx to "hx" for most of the info!

I don't know if I mentioned this, but you can activated the net monitor using the Logomanger for nokia phones, but this works only on a few phones. I have personally tried it on the 5110 and 6110 and the 7110 and it has activated it. It is one of the options.

If it doesn't itmeans you have to open up the phone and do it manually.

I add mkore stuff when I find it..:D

How to send a message without sending ur phone number...???!!

Go to ur calender and write a note(what is written in the note is the message u want to send without showing ur number) then when u r done choose options and send note... this way the on u sent him will have a note received which contians the message.......
