when you go into teh supermarket, you see stuff from all over the world. When I was in Asia, I saw few Omani products which mad me happy and so one everything around us is becoming global.

Although globalization has many advantages (for the exporting country) it also have disadvantages.
Lets discuss here from your point of view what are the advantages and disadvantages of globalization.

One small (but very annoying) disadvantage, as I see it, is that countries are loosing their uniqness...example: go to France go to Germany go to England, go to the States, etc, etc and you find the very same stores, the same restaurants and the same products...

arab prncess, what's the disadvantages of globalziation in your mind?

It's always good and would benifit the own country if X exports to Y, and ofcourse when X had enough of it.

For example, if X has oil, and sells it all, what's left for them? nothing basically.

oooh don disadvantages they are many I could say.
One important thing that should be kept n mind, that not all countries are equal in technology in order to compete with each other fairly.
Lets assume the differnces between indonsia and the US. Wth globalization, the US could get advantage of the cheap labor in indonesia. use the US advanced technology and come up with products that would beat any indonsian firms.
Here lies the biggest problem of globalization.

I know that globalization has many advantages but I dont beleive that it should be overspread. I mean it should be launched gradually to help the less advanced country to be capable to cope with the advanced one. Ofcourse, this cannot happen coz the advanced countries do not want to lose!! till then globalization is not doing any good to the universe as a whole but it is mostly benefiting the big powers.

In fact, many asians use the term "westernasation" instead of globalization !! this proves th fact that it is actually the western culture and power which being spread not an equal spead of everyone!

What the Americans will tell u (IE any UN organisation, Trade Organisation, Health Organisation etc etc even if tis the Japanese convention for rice noodles its still most likeley an american run organisation as well) :
Come join GLobalisation its such a lovely thing. To the people we offer u jobs, training, scholarships, donations and a "chance" to be part of one unified socio-economic beast . Happy happy joy joy U can be part of things like our fair trade act (like never making a decision on oil prices without our blessings)
To the leaders of wannabe globalisation= we offer u money and power and stability (stability in the sense that we promise not to incite any revolutions, government reforms (in favour of the people that is) or help in any way to bring about a democratic or god forbid islamic political state!
What they really mean to the people:
Our workforce will inseminate your economy with their own workers, we will take on no more than two locals a year for training which we wont pay much if anything at all (please take note of the gulf air undergraduate "nominal stipend" training programme offered in todays papers"). We will reduce your spending power and if u dont fall inline with our philosophy and capitalist idealogies we will crush u like a worm
What they really mean to the leaders:
Look pal, u'r with us or u'r against right ? And u know if u join us there is less chance that we will invoke government reforms/power changes in the next 50 or so years! We'll give u some money to play with, just to save face and maybe if we feel like it some fancy weaponry BUT we won't teach u how to use it properly.

So u see its no win situation. One of the few things which might delay this globalisation is some terrorists, communication systems and cultural differences but all easily overcome with the green stuff (aka dollarat). JOIN THEM OR GO HUNGRY ! Wats it to be ?
