I read your posting about the mofti who you seemed to admire alot. I have nothing against the man except that he lacks presence in his lectures ( the ones I sometimes watch on TV ) and that like many other religious leaders he tends to repeat and repeat and repeat at a time we need change and more brain involvement especially with more new issues coming to the surface. Finally like all religious leaders he says what's he allowed to wakama teraf ya akhoyee elsakit an elhaq shaitan akhras. Perhaps those tears were qahar tears who knows??
You seem quite well informed about religions. Perhaps you can do more use than him and tell me and others the religion's hokm in masterbation for both sexes. I heared it's haram but could never understand why especially it's most muslim mens' last resort!!!!!

I don't know much about different fuqaha having major differences in this issue. What I know is that Shaikh Yosef al-Qaradhawi said it's OK under certain circumestances in his book "Al-halal wa Al-Haram", but later on he said that he was wrong in his previous judgment and issued another fatwa saying that the "ijma'" of the fuqaha outlaw it, except some from the 7anbali madh-hab. For more about this fatwa, look "fiqh al-sunna" or any of Shaikh Qaradhawi's books.

Masterbation is what you were talking earlier about refering to soap!!!!!!!Are we nohasab for thinking of doing something or actually committing it. Like a murderer thinking of a crime but never doing it actually. This is different than "niah" that a Muslim is asked about. They're mere thoughts and fantasies. We don't commit "zina" though all related ideas are there. Can a man in this world live without it? Do muslim leaders build their fatawee on the modern life and existing situations or on a spirit of a perfect Muslim society that doesn't exist anymore?

Quraan says Did not only say dont do the "ZINAH", but also says, do not do the things which leads to ZINA. Masterbation is one of the main things which leads to Zinah. Therefore, from Islamic point of view, it's HARAM HARAM HARAM.

People do Masterbation becuase:-

1)First of all, the main reason that they are not committed to Quraan and Sunnah.

2)People who are not married do it because they feel that they have to satisfy their abitite sextually. Imagin if they are not married, so the nearest way is to do the misturbation.

The solution is:-
1) Get married. If anyone have a financial problem, so they try their best to solve it. Othewise, keep FASTING. This is not my solution, but a command form the Prophet Muhammed(B.P.U.H).

2)Be away from sextual magazines and movies.
3)Do not allow yourself to have a leisure time. Try to spend your spare time with good activities and doing good deeds.
4) Try your best not to stay alone. stay lonely,is one of the reasons.

Inshaalah, by following the above we can vanish this bad habbit from our community. Also very importatn, to teach our childs and families the islamic teachings regarding.

It is very necessary that we must read Fatwaah from different sources. If we feel that there is a scholar who is not strict, we should not follow his Fatwaah.

I know that there are men who allah na3im 3aleeehum and are not practising this bad habit ANY MORE, but i bet you all, every men have tried to masturbate at one time of there life and most of the men are still enjoying it even sometimes after they get married. I think if someone pray and practice islam will never do this, even you can reduce your sexual needs by excercises and work and spending times away from things may increase sexual needs(shahwa).
