i do respect all religious practices ... i do have my own thoughts and judgments..but never ever hurted anyone on his/her religious believes .. why is that ? cuz i am a MUSLIM.
personally i do not feel that there is something called miss-understanding of ISLAM by the west.. cuz now in 2002 with all those media facilities it is not justified to understand all religions practiced all over the planet ( even they do know about those practiced on the moon) and not understanding ISLAM. yet i have to admit that the zionists miss guided the west world by manipulating their thoughts over the past generations intentionally and from an enemy point of action.but i will not accept the west reaction to be the same as that one which was in the fifties .. ... i do have my conclusion .. but i prefer to hear yours..

We all know that the Zionist control most of the worlds media, thus they use all they can show Islam as a religion or war and Muslims as terrorists. Muslims do NOT fight people first, but they are requested to fight when they are attacked ( common sense! ). I’ve watched lost of what the west see on their TV, and media, its not even close to Islam, if you ask the western members over the sabla who have joined after the attacks of 11th of September, about their opinion about Islam and Muslims after joining the sabla, they would say that they understand Islam more, now that they hear it from Muslims!

The Zionist and Anti Islam propaganda, know that if they show the true religion, they would lose the people, they know that more people would accept Islam and want to know more about it.

They also know that “IF” the Muslims had faith and where following their religion the right way, they would have the greatest power on earth.

They use the propaganda to misguide the west, and even miss guide the Muslims, now you see more of the Muslims following the west thinking its “cool” and more of the western people are learning about Islam and even reverting to Islam.


Very sad indeed to see the Muslims now a days, what a shame!

Its a fact..I have been in the US for two years, and have personally met and dealt with tens of people who have converted and chose Islam as their religion.. I dont recall the number now, but I will surely come back to you with the number of American's who convert annually in US....

TB this is because western people think that this life is the final life and nothing beyond it. But they are wrong, this life is not the final life which is a fact to muslims and in the final life people will either be in hell or haven, so where do u want to go it all depends on u.

As far as "zionist controlled media" only showing the bad things about muslims - THESE ACTIONS ARE NOT FABRICATED. What no one here seems to understand, is that media reports what happens. Yes, the reporting can be biased. But it is the simple truth that the people who do awful things tell us that they are engaging in violence in the name of Islam - so that is what is taught to the world about Islam. Don't form your prejudices about the way hundreds of millions of people think about your religion by seeing what is on the evening news. Only BAD news makes the news. I'm not a stripper and a ***** just because you saw a story about one from America on TV. Not all blacks are murderous drug dealers just because the only blacks on the 5:00 news were in the story about a drug-related murder. And not all Muslims are violent fanatics just because a violent Muslim fanatic was on the news after blowing himself up on a bus.

Islam is a peaceful religion when practiced by peaceful adherents, and a violent religion when practiced by violent adherents. Just like Judaism, Christianity, blah blah blah blah blah. Perhaps the reason that the violent Muslims are highlighted is that Muslim whackos loudly proclaim their religion, and the rest of the whackos don't.

Moon, you say "Media reports what happens"..I agree with you here..there are some bad Muslims here and there that atract the media's attention..but as far as I'm aware of, and as far as I've been reading while I was in the US, the media also twists some realities of Islam..yes, I have read some articles in the Washington Post and te New York Times that ridicule and misinterpret our religion, quoting sayings of the prophet and verses from the Quran without giving full explanations..without viewing the context in which the verses were revealed...

I'm not saying that everyting said about Islam is negative..not all all..infact, there have been good articles and good TV programs about Islam..yet alot of stuff is written by people who know very little about the religion..

other than newspapers, you walk into a bookstore, Barrens and Nobels or whatever, go the Religoin Section, and try to find books about Islam..what kind of books would you find??? Most of the bok you would find would bear titles such as "Jihad", "Holy war in Islam," "Oppression of Women", etc..is this what Islam is all about?? I am not talking out of ignorance here as I have been to many bookstores in search for books that represent true Islam..I did find good books, but it wasnt that easy...Ok, people may have the rigt to report about fanatics and all that, but why not look at the positive sides also??? why ignore all the good things about Islam, all the moderate adherents of the faith..why not much is written about them???

I have the very same complaint about science in the media- it is written by people who know very little about science! Journalists ARE IGNORANT. They do just enough research to get a story. They are not experts in what they write about, so they often get it wrong, incomplete, or biased. It's not an anti-muslim plot, it's everywhere. It's just that you only see it when you have the expertise to recognize their errors.

Your best defense when reading newspapers or watching TV is to realize that their reporting of EVERYTHING is as flawed as their reporting of your field of expertise - and take it into account when drawing conclusions.

And... there are people out there ridiculing and misrepresenting EVERY religion - do you really think a bunch of good ol' boy Southern Baptists are going to have any respect for Muslims? They don't even respect Methodists!~

Moonchild …it seems that you have a lot of hateful thoughts a bout Islam and just wanna a chance to pool out your poison. i wanna assure you down ..Islam will remain and the number of Muslims is increasing especially after the 11/sept. disaster .
I am living in UK and I am seeing it growing here to a degree that it will not make you happy and all those who are wishing what u wish dear.

Samy you still haven't said *which* statements you think are "poisonous" or "hateful" ... you quoted my whole post, which you apparently misunderstood.

But since you don't know me, let me explain how I feel. Peaceful, good people make up the majority of every religion, including Islam. There are also evil people in the world who hurt others (for many reasons) - some of them claim no religion, some call themselves Christian or Jewish or Muslim.
I FIRMLY believe that anyone who harbors hatred or the desire to hurt others cannot truly experience their chosen religion, or be said to be a representative of the spirit of that religion.

I do not hate any GROUP of people, or hate anybody or judge them based on their stated group affiliation. Every person stands before God and Man based on his actions. If he does so in the name of some particular religion, then he is either being a good or a poor representative of that religion.
