HONESTLY!! do you pray or not?
=)
-If you pray every single prayer, how do you feel about that?
-If you pray some prayers and some you dont, why's that?!
-If you rarely pray.. Why's that!?
-If you don't pray at all, give a good reason for that.
or.. you just pray in time of need
:)Yes I pray but AUDHU BILLAH MINA-SHETANII RAJIM sometimes,,I think I’m SHETANII my self….coz my mind is going in circles-going crazy with the girls I meet them,, or I saw their picture’s in ES..((..Girls keep em coming I’m choosing->>who is the right one))...BTW; if I pray togedda with people->> SUBHANA LAH->>I feel like I have pray the right prayer,, why is that-I don’t know!!!!!!
Oooooopsy; It’s a time 2 go 4 pray now-it’s a Friday!!:):D:p:cool:
^ ROFL.. Dookum.
elhamdela I pray all 5s and more whenever I get the chance, It's not something to flaunt as praying does no body good but yourself.
To answer the thread's question,
I feel good and spiritually serene; I go to bed every night knowing that I payed my daily deed not only to please god but myself even.
:)^ Good girl;keep praying....please pray 4 me as well ok!! :)
It's ironic that when I'm home between my siblings and parents, I tend to forget about my prayers and become lazy to pray all prayers on time. But when I'm alone in the US, I make sure that I pray ALL prayers on time without a single exception. I dunno, but I feel that being in the US made my faith grow stronger and made me closer to God.
Al-hamdulillah, I pray all 5 prayers on time. My prayers are the most important thing in my days now. It feels extremely good when you pray all your five prayers on time.

i just want to point out one thing , if you do pray and your prayers doesnt stop your fornication acts , make sure that you are praying wrongly or your prayers are not accepted.

i mean if your prayers doesnt prevent you from doing wrong things , then you should make sure or keep in mind that you are performing it wrongly or there might be some corrupted idea/thoughts while you are practicing it , so its all about your intentions it could be full of dissimulation , my post was clear i wonder why you are confused.

it's really strange when some ppl ask me: you pray???
and thats the funny thing that comes into my mind , i remember when i told my friends i'll leave you for a while then come back , they asked me where are you going stay with us , i told them am off to pray then i will come back to you , so they were like
YOU PRAY ?!!
====================
^ I agree,
it's like they compare your appearance with how religious you are, if you were the type that jokes around, mingles with people and are open minded they are suddenly gobsmacked when you mention that you pray to them.
It's ridiculous, and I never know what to reply when they ask that question.

I do pray, but I wont say that I pray all my prayers, because I miss Fajer almost everyday.

Yeah, nowdays praying became like the wrong thing for some people. If you pray, then you are weird! :os
it's the opposite with me. I'm gobsmacked when people say they don't pray.. "you don't pray??!" :omg:
i don't wanna sound ka2anni ana il 9a2ima il qa2ima..(i don't wanna sound like I'm the exceptionally devoted Muslim) i'm far from it..unfortunately. i sometimes miss prayers and have to compensate for them, specially Fajer. but i guess it's because of my upbringing, praying seems like something every Muslim does, regardless of how strong their faith is.

Yes I do pray all prayers el 7amdulellah but my only problem is sticking to the time perfectly. Sometimes I delay some of the prayers due to studies or when I'm at uni I pray thuhur, sometimes asir, after I get back home, etc. I really want to become better though at this whole timing.
:D
My Turn:D!
I pray all 5 prayers, except 'al3isha2' prayers. Honestly sometimes I forgot them... Sometimes I feel like too tired to pray it :).
When I pray ALL 5 prayers, I feel like my life is brightened

SHETANI awain :XD:
Yes I do all prayers Al Hamdulillah. I only knew that some people don't pray when I was about 13 years old and at that time I was like : :o:o:o .
But when I knew and mingled with more different people in Oman the idea of a muslim who doesn't pray became a normal thing to find . And most of the guys when you ask them why don't you pray they get nervous, angry shout to not to talk about it cos they know what they do is wrong and as NightFace said, some guys mock those who give their prayers attention. Sub7an allah it's as we are going backwards but as our prophet :PBUH: says, Islam started strange and it will end to be strange. And also says PBUH: There will come a day where the one who is holding on his religion is like the one who is holding on fire.
And I am sure that we are living in it now. Allah yehdeena all ( God Guides us all ).
And to uanswer the question. I don't always feel that comfortable when I pray and this is because of my fault. I some times daydream for a while in the prayer then come back to the pray and it goes like this ( this what makes us human eventually ) and at this time I lose the bless of prayer comfort but when I concentrate in the prayer and do it really from the bottom of my heart, ther ewil be a feeling I really can't decribe but a very relieving and soothing feeling.
Yes, I pray all my prayers. But sometimes I pray the Maghrib and Isha late. The period that is between Maghrib and Isha is short :shy:

Yes, I pray all my prayers. I am not satisfied though, something is missing. It's probably the way I pray or I am not praying enough.. I don't know.. I am not quite very satisfied with how I feel about my prayers-- which I never miss!

Yah, I do pray "Thanks To Allah", and for sure this is something that everyone should stick to no matter how loose he is going in life. You know, maybe one day you stand there in front of Allah and with prayer you may get somewhere safe away from God's Hell. You pray, which means you talk to God Allah everyday, you have a connection with Him, that is GOOOOOD believe me!
Will we say not praying? I think that is the ultimate mischief, you really not in connection with God.
Think of it this way: We are in 2009 there is a coming disaster in which you can be updated only throw "internet" about when it is going to hit your place. You find everyone at home no one in the streets, you are also at home with no connection! OHHHHH! That is really very painful, you just don't know and you would never know when the cyclone will will hit you. That day you will wish if you have a connection, and you may also offer thousands to get one on "Special" basis...
Sadly many people are getting disconnected, and they just don't know that till it is really too late! [Death]. Prayer is the connection so... Don't ever get yourself disconnectd... That is an advice!
I hope I am making any sense here...

Just wanted to share this link with those who mentioned losing focus during prayers or not really "feeling" it. Just be patient, and by the 7th or 8th episode of the series this Sheikh unveils the secret to a sincere spiritual and sweet prayer :) Don't skip any of the first episodes though as he takes you through a spiritual journey before he eventually conveys his "secret" message .. I thought his talks were nothing less than AMAZING

those who voted no, or rarely, to ashamed to share your thoughts?
I pray, and for those who dont, how can they live with the guilt? :os
maybe two years ago, It was shocking to me to know that there are muslims who dont pray; but now that I've grown and met many kinds of people and got 2 mingle with all different people from the society (spc in uni), Im not that shocked that there are people who don't pray. the world changed. people forgot thier religion.
but I wont lie, sometimes i miss the prayers and pray them later as (qa'9a2) , and sometimes Im too lazy for the fajer and pray and decide to pray it later on in the morning.. :inno: , and I'll do my best not to make that happen alot.
:)^If u don’t pray Morning Prayer on time!! That mean you’re same-same like me no different!!:)

There is no way I could go to sleep missing a prayer...
I understand how some people find it hard to pray Fajir and that the best sleep is during that time... You need to fight the urge to go back to sleep... Put an alarm, ask someone to wake you up, anything... If a student is able to wake up during Fajir to get a few more hours to study, then dont we have a few min to pray?
Another way to help you not miss Fajir prayer is to go to sleep early. It will help you in getting up for Fajir. During the period of Fajir prayer, the shaytan (devil) ties you in three knots. The first one gets untied when you wake up, the second gets untied when you go to wash (ablution) and the last one is untied when you proceed to pray. One way of motivating me for Fajir is saying that I will beat the shaytan. The real reward is actually praying :)
As for the members who said that they pray sometimes or rarely, know that the main difference between us Muslims and Kaffer is the 5 prayers! Think about it, how long does it take us to pray? 2 min? 5 min? That is less than half an hour a day. In your 24 hours that you spend with the pleasures of dunia (this life) dont you have 30 min for akhirah (the afterlife)? The first question that you are going to be asked about in the afterlife is your prayers, how are you doing so far?
Last note, if it is really in your intention to pray you will do it inshallah... this is something between you and yourself...

I think I do understand why some people are shocked when they know that a certain person prays where it's not showing on him/er!! It's like when you are checking the exam's results list of your class and you find that a certain student have scored the highest score.. where you think no way even if the sky and earth stuck togather.. because s/he barely attended the lectures.. submits his/er assignment late.. always stays late at night.. etc.
It's the same with a person who is into club-ing.. or datin.. or smoothing etc but s/he does his/er five.. but the praying effects are not showin on him/er.
It's true.. something is better than nothing.. but also, I see it like build this wall now, and next hour destruct it ... come back again and build it, then later destruct it.. and it goes like that as you did nothing!!
Such style makes a person defense personality is week.. when you get asked to explain such behavior!!
