A simple advice for those who don't pray.

You will burn in hell if you don't

Are you looking for advice for those who don't pray?

My advice would be: Pray!

Or try, anyway. A little bit is better than nothing.

Facing God helps, just facing Him. Begin with baby steps.

And if you do it sometimes, take heart. Doing it a little or doing it badly is far better than not doing it at all.

But maybe Muslims have a different way of looking at it.

Alright, thanks.. Your advice is taken ! :cute:

Hmm.

Well, is it better to pray sometimes?

Or do you say to someone who only prays sometimes, "It's all or nothing. If you don't keep your obligation, you might as well forget about it. Praying every other day is no better than not praying at all..."

GingerPop

God mentions in the quran that he created mankind and the unseen world to pray. Therefore if you have any issues with your creator and dont pray, I suggest you sort it out fast because life is short and in a blink of a second you will have alot of explaining to do and very little face before him, the Almighty.

Someone once mentioned to me that she beleived she will go to hell if she dies - because she doesn't pray. I was tempted to light a match, and burn her arm for a split second. Observe her immediate reaction. Maybe reality will hit and realise she ain't immune to eternal suffering after all :dev:

But maybe Muslims have a different way of looking at it.

Muslims don't have the option to leave out some prayers and MUST perform every one of them. However for an unpractising muslim, I personally agree that something is better than nothing. I.e. God is merciful and whatever prayers you have already performed may be considered huge in his eyes and could linearize the form of punishment. And god knows best!

Not to be funny but what about people who are say very ill physically or mentally and cannot pray? What is their recourse?

GingerPop
28-01-09, 01:28 AM
According to my knowledge, Severely mentally ill people are excempted from praying, and their deeds are unaccounted for..

Physically ill people can still pray in whichever position is most comfortable. Even paralysed and bed ridden individuals can pray in their heart, and receive no less a merit than individuls who are able to pray up-right.

Pray and make use of salah and dua to solve any problem that even the best experts of this world cannot solve. Unfortunately, the Muslims are turning away from these deeds today when they need them the most. We pray for Allah to give us the true understading of Islam....

Not sure about how old u are, but if you are in the teenage's you start make it to a routine, it will make it alot easier for you later on your life...insh'Allah!

praying gives you comfort, and psychologically it gives you some introspective quiet time. it gives you a sense of security and connection with your maker. i love praying both alone and in a crowd. when i pray every morning with my class, we throw away all that divides us, the little squabbles, what made us angry. we become one and prayer helps us to continue the day, as much as possible, in a good mood. it reminds us of who we are, that at the end of the day we are all brothers and sisters in one God.

Telling someone he'll end up in hell scares him or bores him if it's repeated.
And telling him he should do it JUST because it gets him to heaven makes him totally miss the point.

The point of prayer isn't in JUST getting to heaven, it's in making someone much better on the inside. Certain people just can't handle that either because they LIKE being bad on the inside (in which case they need a shrink or some really good counsel) or they just WANT to be bad inside (in which case, they're idiots). At any point, telling someone he should pray or otherwise he'll go to hell and that's it will work on a 12-year-old, not someone mature enough to understand the MAIN need of prayer.

hm... talking negative...
I agree with Threadlike and I would like to add that prayer isn't alone a green light to the Heaven. I guess there are violent criminals who commit prayer 5 times every day on time... but then they go and rob, kill, and rape. Maybe because they mistakenly think that all their sins will be forgiven in the coming life bcuz they prayed heavily in this one...

These are called hypocrites and they won't get into Heaven Insha'Allah despite all their vain attempts to substitute their sins with prayer. But of course it's all up to Him, the Most Merciful.

Prayers are supposed to stop a person from committing evil, if it didn't it means something is wrong with the prayer.

if you are a Muslim and you don't pray you are in the lowest grade of heaven InshAllah.

but if you are a Kaffir whether you pray or not you are in HELL for sure.

If that's so then why are you saying only muslims will go to heaven. Christians and jews believe in one God as well. I believe the same God we believe in excluding the Christians who take Jesus PBUH as God.

So I can Say No God but Allah and do whatever I want from sins and then go to heaven ? Is this what you're saying ?

A simple advice for those who don't pray.

To start praying and repent before they die.

How long it takes to pray, maybe 5 minutes.

5 (minutes) X 5 (prayers)= 25 minutes per day.

Yes, I do believe that , BUT not everyone who just says it automatically goes to heaven. You see, at the moment of death, it's difficult for a person who's not that close to God (yet is STILL a muslim) to just say it. It has to be on the person's tongue frequently. I can't say I know what it's like at the moment of death but I'm sure it's something we truely don't fully know, and for a person to say it at that final moment, means that they are a person of real closeness to God to have said it. It's about true faith. It's about what's really in your heart and what you really mean.

^^ ALL muslims will end up in heaven whether you like it or not I gave the proof what else do you want???

but there are more than 100 grades in heaven so which one would you like to be in???
I have to disagree with that. Some people say they are muslim and they do pray yet unseen by the public eye, they could be murders and rapists. I doubt there is a place in heaven for them. I believe that the right term is "mu2min" مؤمن(true believer). All mu2mineen will go. And only Allah knows what's in their hearts.

The Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross and paid for all of mankind's sins. That doesn't mean a criminal wont be judged fairly on the day of judgement. So obviously that beliefe is incorrect.

And what's that about 100 grades? Is it not 7?

''You could die at any second, you don't want to die missing a prayer..''
I liked the advertisements of ''أقم صلاتك قبل مماتك" touching.

''For all the things God gave you, you're supposed to give God something in return, the least you could do is pray"

Right before opening this thread I told my brother to ''itwadha'' [Get clean] and go pray, he asked me ''Ay salah'' [What prayer].
