Super thread and pictures, Sameer!! Loved them! Teaches me so much more about Oman and it's people!

Whats the town/village/place called exactly, mate?

I liked the Head of Bedwein family picture. His eyes seem to say so much...like many old stories, they hold. And that typically friendly Omani look :)

oh and yeah, I WANT A HOUSE NEAR THE SEAAAA

I zeroed the trip meter when i left from Nimr Round About and after reaching Nimr round about, the trip meter reading was 437KM. The stops we made were only the ones in the picture shown.
the whole trip is shown in the map as lime colors.
we left base at 0830hrs and reached base at 1800hrs.

The road from Souqra to Shaleem is graded. wadi had made the road very bad, so if you dont like to take your 4x4 on real wadi roads, i advise you not going on that road. but the whole road is over the mountain so it really is a pleasent drive.

from Shaleem back to Nimr-Marmul main road is metal again, but we were short on time so we took a short cut from Shaleem to Amal then from Amal to nimr. Shaleem to Amal again is a graded road but in much better condition.

Other than those two, the whole route is metal and good road condition.

The housing blocks of Sharbithat is really impressive ! Do most people there work in fisheries ? I've been to Shuwaimiyah which lies next to it. That place is almost halfway between Muscat and Salalah!

I just love how people in the interior insist you have lunch or qahwa even if you don't know them or haven't seen them before it shows how we still have hospitality in Oman :D

Looks like you had an amazing eid :cute:
