sms maybe in year 3000, wap maybe next year (so they say) but i think it will be after two more years! If WAP comes to Oman please don't use it ! You'll be wasting your money. Wap is still in baby stage wait for it to improve its tech.

Why r they taking so long with the sms thing........i mean is it really that difficult to set up?

Even the island of zanzibar in africa who have hardly any water, electricity and gas and medical care have text messaging (sms)!! Omantel do not want to us to have it because they will lose money from sms because it costs virtually nuthing to send a text message. Also the way they charge for mobile phone lines is very very jewish -25/35 baisa per minute within 20 km !! After 20 kilometres it costs more ??? I mean what the heck is all that about???? Thats like saying if i phone from ruwi to seeb and its over 20 km i am calling international???? These guys are real thieves. In one text message u can say exactly what u want all in one time upto a certain limit of words send it and get a reply. This would be very useful for businesses. It would save hundreds of time, reduce phone bills too which is what they do not want. I hope they go bank rupt and a proper management staff come in who arent thieves.
