I know it is healthier to sleep on your right side since there will be less pressure on the heart and the lungs.
But in when fasting I get acid reflux sometimes. So, I was googling and found this:

As for the stomach, is it better to lay on the left side rather the right side when I have to sleep and my stomach is full?
From the illustration it seems that when laying on the left side, more food can be away of the oesophagus compared to laying on the right side?
Am I right?
Thanks. :)

Both sides make problems
In Ramadan is difficult but you should sleep at least 3-4 hours after the meal, and raise the head of the bed of 15-20 cm
I never tried cause I know I wouldn't sleep like that, but people who suffer of reflux found benefit
Don't sleep less the two hours after eating (or 3-4 like Amo Pills said is even better if possible!).
But..I think you'll find most people turn onto their left side when they sleep...people move around, but I think this is the natural position most people take: Starting on their right, then moving over to the left as they sleep. And I'm not sure it makes much difference to your stomach!
I always sleep on the left side :os never sleep on the right :os !!! never thought of it this way .. wow thats a good point!
thanks for sharing this

I'd rather sleep on my belly. 'Cause when I attempt to sleep on one side, I end up twisting & turning. Maybe I should try it more often though^^

Generally we start sleep lying on the right side (Prophet Mohamad's(SAAW) advice) but then we turn right & left to reduce the chances of having aches on one side & bed sores in case of bed ridden patients.
[18] And you would have thought them awake, while they were asleep. And We turned them on their right and on their left sides, and their dog stretching forth his two forelegs at the entrance (of the Cave or in the space near to the entrance of the Cave (as a guard at the gate)) Had you looked at them, you would certainly have turned back from them in flight, and would certainly have been filled with awe of them.
Please take notice that the dog in this verse need not to turn because their are not susceptible for bed sore like humen.
In pregnancy we advise the ladies to lie most on left side to improve the circulation of the fetus , as if they lie on the right side their bellies will compress a big vein which can compromise the baby's circulation (Inferior Vena Cava)
AS mimosa said its not advisable to sleep straight away after meals.

Very instructive info, thanks everyone.
I will do my best not to sleep after meals, nit easy though.
Actually what I know that Prophet Muhammad PBUH used to lay down on his right side in the beginning.
I googled and found this:
Don't ask me to translate :P
Actually for a long period I used to sleep on my back because of my scoliosis, but now I think I'll go for the left side to avoid refluxes. I hope my back won't pain me.
I tried using pillows to raise the upper part of my body, but I ended with back and shoulder pain.
There is going to be a lot of trial and error in the next days to decide which is the best way to sleep.
Superbia,
It's not good to sleep on your belly, all organs get crushed. It is so comfy I know, but not healthy.
And Ramadan Kareem everyone. =)
