I've been away for a couple of weeks on a vacation, in case you noticed.

Here are some pictures I have taken during our trip in Germany. Very beautiful country, I would love to go back next year.:yes:

I will add my observations about Germany later on.

Welcome back, Evana! Totally awesome pics!

I've been there the first two weeks of June. Frankfort is a beautiful city and the view from the main river is just breathtaking as you said.

PS: Have you been to other places in Germany - other than Frankfort?

Yes it is very organized. Everything amazingly is divided up into very neat square plots or lands. Very green and very refreshing too.

But unfortunately, the streets are dirty :no: people always smoking outside, inside, everywhere, there are tons of smoked cigarettes almost covers the ground. But I noticed that their toilets were suprisely clean!!!!!!!

Yep yep, I have visited and tried almost everything I could. Will post the pictures soon

We took a bus/boat cruising on the Rhine, from Mainz to Cologne (Full time tour from 11:15 am to 7:00 pm), so we passed through St. Goar, Bacharach, Oberwesel , Koblenz, Bonn and Koln, St. Goarshausen Wiesbaden, Rudesheim, ..Other places I don’t remember :shy:, this answer your question too, Faith. :)

Shopping Malls ???

There is an Underground station/mall at Zeil Street in Frankfurt called Bahnhof, I guess. it's very HUGE and there's everything you wish !

Anything bad about Germany that we should no off before going ?

Well, if you have kids, I don’t advise you to take them to the museums, they have bunch of nude statues, drawings, photos hanging in all over. It was really disturbing experience!

I also would like to add all the old beautiful castles along the Middle of the Rhine... the Hall Tower of the castle in Eltiville, the famous Loreley, Sooneck, Rheintein, Burg Katz, and much more I dont recall the names :shy:

I think that's a sycamore tree, or a close relative. The leaves and the bark look very similar. We have them here in Virginia, too...

Come on! But I agree with you, It’s frigging expensive! This is not the type of place one comes to do one's weekly shopping like in Oman. :D

Most people who shop there only buy enough to fill a hand basket. But they have a lot of hard to find and imported items, including ethnic foods from Turkey, Thailand, and Italy and others I might not have been to.

We used to go to this Turkish restaurant almost regularly, they have delicious foods and they serve a Turkish tea after every meal. I miss that already :(

They really have nice stuff, but just too expensive to make it a regular on my list. Can you believe that I saw this handbag I liked very much for 400 OMR??!! They have high quality products. But still, they are hella overpriced.

I don’t think I would want to live there but it’s nice place to go for vacations. :)

That’s true, Jeff. I don’t remember seeing many kids in Germany. That is sad!! And even the ones I saw they actually don’t look so German!! They had a darker skin! So they could be immigrants?!

I remember it was freakingggg cold that day and my bro and I started laughing hysterically from cold just like two crazy people on the cable. We thought it gonna be cool to go on the cable without wearing our jackets lol. Now that's what I call "committing a suicide".

And yeah I think they have a weird language, good morning = guten Morgen :D And I really like how they say Hello =Halloh, ….sexy!!! lol ;)

OOOOOOOOOHH Germany my love:love::love::love: Great pix, Evana!! Hope you really enjoyed it there!

As for non-German looking kids there, Germany's got lots of Turkish immigrants who migrated to help rebuild the country soon after 1949. If it weren't for them, Germany's birth rate wud have been even less.:( It's really sad to see such a wonderful and remarkable nation diminish.. but I guess it's the result of the two World Wars when the most distinguished (and probably fertile:p) people of the nation were killed.:(

Evana, I should say their language is very nice and not weird at all, you just need to catch its genuine beauty;) in some cases it sounds a lot nicer (or...sexier:p) than English.:)

What??? a day tour for 170 Euros??!!! That's highway robbery!!:(:(

Yep, that’s sad to see such a beautiful nation like German diminish. Germany has lots of "mixed" immigrants, I saw a lot of Asian people working there, Indians and Italians too and more. But true, Germany has a big no. of Turkish immigrants, I heard them talking in Turkish together. And I tell you, Turkish men are really HOT! I am sure you will enjoy it in Germany!

P.S: always keep your wallet full when you go there :p
