Is is true that left arm pain is = heart attack on the way?

Yea it's tru, infact as i know the pain is from chest to shoulder....not arm! or i don't know but its somehow the same!

well pain is not always a symptom of hear attack, it might be tightness or squeezin sensaion in the chest, or if you feel one of those in one minute or two =
Pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest.

Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms.

Severe pain, sudden weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath.

For those with angina, any change in the frequency, duration or intensity of the attacks, or symptoms that don't respond to nitroglycerin.

as i know, one quarter {aproxmatly} of heart attacks are silent, with no chest pain. and in diabetics the incidence of silent heart attack may be higher more than the normal people!

Heart Attack Pain Areas
The person who has heart attack myt feel:

- Crushing pain in chest that may spread to your left shoulder
- Chest pain that may spread to neck, jaws, and\or down back
- Deep, dull pain or a tight, heavy, or squeezing sensation beneath breastbone
- The pain may be just in arms
- It may be in the jaw
- it may be in the back


Ther R Other Symptoms of Heart Attack

- Chest pressure
- Sweatin
- Jaw pain
-Heartburn and/or indigestion
- Arm pain (more commonly the left arm, but may be either)
- Upper back pain
- General malaise (vague feeling of illness)
- Nausea
- Shortness of breath

Yes it is a radiating pain from the left arm. But for women tends to be pain in the back area.....women for some reason if they suffer a major heart attack die don't know why....my father had four and he is still kicking it.

Maybe a pinched nerve or you slept on it wrong...sometimes when we sleep on our arms it can give us a tingly feeling when we wake up. That's considered normal.

That's a general notion for those at risk

For example, someone who is 50+, chronic smoker, diabetic & has hypertension, he/she suddenly develops pain in the left arm then he/she must rush to the A&E for an emergency blood work-up & ECG

In case of a youngster with no past cardiac history, the pain is most probably due to a non-cardiac origin & nothing to worry about

Though not a rule, but usually the left arm pain associated with heart attack is accompanied by radiation of the pain to the neck & jaw, as well nausea & giddiness et al

In case of an elderly person, pain in the epigastric region (upper part of the abdomen) can be an early sign of heart attack

Another important consideration is chest pain/left arm pain due to anxiety & panic attacks, more common in neurotic females & they tend to get worried excessively about it & start requesting for a huge battery of tests to reassure themselves

Now if the pain hadn't stopped I would have definitely gone to the doctor for those tests, why should it be due to anxiety and why would I have to be a neurotic female to go through the tests? :os

if u know ur lifestyle isnt healthy, n u eat lotza food with no care then you may expect it, if you dont play any sport or exersize as well!
or else it maybe a normal stuff.....
but anyways better chek doctor!!
