I went for my eye test today for the ketcha (translate?), but I couldn't get it 'cause it turns out that I have really bad eye sight, and the signs were blurred :os However, I was just wondering if any of you lot have done laser for your eyes? 'Cause I'm not too fond of the idea of wearing glasses, or lenses :mmhmm:
*How long is the process?
*What are the advantages?
*What are the disadvantages?
*Do you know any good places here in Oman, whom are really good at it?
:cute:

^ yeah thats true. I've been wanting to do it too. 2 more years to go! I think you should consider contacts for now. They're fine with me and i've been wearing them for years.
A friend of mine got his eyes done and he loves it. I think the actual procedure isn't very lengthy, but you have to be careful afterwards that you don't rub them and stuff. I think healing takes a couple of days.
I'd like to get mine done but its expensive in Australia. I hate glasses and contacts freak me out.

Contacts freak me out too! :o Plus, according to that lady she said I can't get 'em until my eye sight is balanced.. A year or so :os
As Far As I Know..
*What are the advantages?
You will get a corrected eye sight, works in most cases.
*What are the disadvantages?
you might spend money for nothing, and your eye sight wont be corrected.
Another disadvantage is that it is not reliable, After 3 years and above your eye sight will return to how it was before the operation.
My friend did it a long time ago and now he wears glasses again.

The procedure could be as fast as like 15 min
The Advantages Are being able to see better ofcourse, Fast surgery, ..
Disadvantages.. Could be.. Dry eyes.. and rarely but does happen where ur vision doesn't get corrected or could be worse..
A family member of mine got it done, They were able to see clearly by like the next day.. Just make sure that whoever ur going to is REALLY GOOD at what they do ;p
And on a side note.. Wear Glasses for now.. honestly I think they look really sexxy! ;p

I had the operation in May 2003, it was almost like how J’adore describes it.
*How long is the process?
It was less than 10 minutes, you will be awake, you might be given a light sedative to keep you calm.
*What are the advantages?
The glasses bothered me a lot, I could do nothing without them and I had a scar on my nose, not to talk about the inconveniences I had when I wanted to do so many things.
*What are the disadvantages?
You will experience dry eyes for the first couple of months, you can then use eye moistening drops, many people use them regularly especially in the summer. I never experienced any difficulties afterwards although my work/study involves a lot of reading during the day and overnight sometimes.
*Do you know any good places here in Oman, whom are really good at it?
I had it in Muscat Center. I think it is a good place.
Think of it carefully and check with your doctor if performing the operation at a later age is safer, the pre-test will also determine if you are fit for the operation.
Good Luck.

^ Thanks for the feedback, truly appreciated :) However, I've asked around and turns out I'm underage to have it. So yeah, patience is a virtue I guess.

So i guess for now your only option is glasses.
well my Friends dad it it here in Canada, and well according to him he had to wait until 31 and also it works well cuz all they do it take that layer off that doesnt allow u too see well and they record the whole thing loool its scary...But its been like wut 8years or more and he doesnt wear glasses till this day
Superbia you're still a growing bone
If you are having myopia (can't see from distance) of a very mild degree & which remain the same over the coming couple of years, then I suggest you save yourself the time & money
Though it is a safe procedure & complications are rare, remember that you might be the "rare" person to suffer from the complications, that's how I scare those who don't need it :P
However, you can go to the Finland or German eye centre for more clarification from the experts in eye care
