Give me your ideas and thougths on this subject...
Do you belive that there could be such a thing as love on the net?
Can you find that 'other half' that 'soul mate' through a computer?

I want to know if it just infatuation and a comforting idea to have someone you feel connected to through the net. If that feeling can develop into some thing real and more than words appearing on a blank screen. A monitor that does no allow you to see the smile, the laughter, the saddness or even the look in his/her eyes !!

( may be many dislike my openion but this is me and my thinking )

But what do u mean because there are many Issues :

1- chat room : I think this is selly Idea ( because the people who chat are really say alot of lie and they chat at the same time with several people and tell them that they love them,,, how he could love sevaral in one time ,, especially while he/she didn't even saw the other person)

2- marrage through the net :
A- In euorope and America : there are some only few honest people who put there pictures and addresses want really to get clean marrage ( this may be because the muslims want to marry some muslims ) ,,,, but many of them just want to spend some time with the other sex.

B- in countries like oman or Islamic nations : honstly this is really bad Idea because this culture is much strong then this kind of things snd there are many apportunities to select from rather than going and trying to find someone in the internet,,,,, and the people who do it they just want to pass time ( bel3omani play with other sex ).

3- Some people more cleaver and they hunt in another way ,,, they has a web page and put there photo in their web page after putting some makeup ,to attract her or him ,,, and these kind of people promise many people to get married with them,, especially the boy these days as they say ( wa7da felqalb we meyah ta7t el 3ein ).


When I see pictures at web sites especially with makeup I know that this guy is stupid. :)

Love can happen any were any way any time..in the air..under the ground..whatever..once it comes...it comes
But this is true if this love is hounist and un conditional
pure and soft Trust in its right place between the 2 right people is the key word plus Luck plays a role here

through the net..by chat..Yup i do believe in that..But again..this should be based on truth (difficult) and trust (more difficult)...and last and not least..a date (hell difficult)...never the less..not imposible..:D

P.S. Love is such a word that inspire alote of people and now people developed new meanings for love all fall in the same basic meaning of it. like e love..chat love..net love...sky love..cable love...etc

It means you meet the opposite sex through the chat( cyber chat ) ,or by seeing the picture in advertisement for marriage ,or knowing them by their web sites and sooo. ;)

I have a friend who met her current husband on the net. So it is possible if ofcourse the people are honest and make sure they know each other well. A good thing about meeting on the net is that when you chat for a while you really get to know how someone thinks. People are more confident to speak their mind. No worries about how you look or what silly thing you say. When you e-mail you have time to think about what you want to say before u write it.

I agree with you that we have to use the internet in a right way ,because of that I said that many people lie on the opposite sex and pass their time,, example : I know someone has several girfriends through the chat room,,,, and I know someone ihn UK search for marriage addvertisments and call the girls and meet them ,,then leave them after sometimes,,, and I know girls has many male friends in the chat room.... However I know not all of them are the same,,, but our duty to advise our sisters and brothers in oman from this danger.

As in how long did they chat ?
Have the chatted all the time, then come to get married as soon as they met, or did they call each other and kept in touch through the phone?
How was the parents recation to the idea that they had met on the net?

I agree with Thug4Life. Love can happen anywhere.As silly as it may seem ,Love happens it doesnt follow any laws of the mind..its about being blind and a fool at the same time..and accepting the whole package as it comes..
