My question is if Fox news is so mistrustful as to always providing false information why believe this rabbi is speaking the truth? :D

The formula is quite simple.

If Fox broadcasts something that Tomuchat disagrees with then Fox is rubbish.

If Fox broadcasts something Tomuchat agrees with then Fox is, well, the Fox's whiskers.

There are very few rabbis--or Jews for that matter--who would take as extreme a position as Weiss.

But many Orthodox Jews believe that the State of Israel as it exists today is offensive to God. That's because it is a secular state rather than a religious Jewish one. Our own member Monotheism is one of these.

And before the foundation of the State of Israel, most Jews believed that a Jewish state in Palestine was a mistake. The religious ones believed that Israel was to be refounded by God alone, not by men on their own.

But make no mistake: Even Rabbi Weiss believe that this land ultimate belongs to the Jews and God will return it to them one day. If that day were to come, you wouldn't find Weiss objecting to the idea of dispossessing Palestinians...

Israel has taken Palestinian lands and chase 'em away from their homes. If they want to form a country fine, but don't do anything to the Palestinians let 'em continue with their lives.

Isreal has no right to form a country by envading other countries, stealing their lands, hurting/killing their people. That's so wrong.
Palestine belongs to the Palestinians. That's it. It's been their country for hundreds and hundreds of years i don't see how/why it shouldn't continue to be. Palestine never belonged to Isreal (long history) it belonged to the Kanani-yeen (forgive my spelling) who are originally arabs.

That's very true, Arabian Princess. OIC should not be the sole defender of Palestine, but the whole world community should , because this is not about Palestine being an Islamic state but because it is a BIG crime to massacre and to chase out innocent Palestinians out of their lands.

If a stranger came to your house, take hostage of your family, and finally take over your house by force, what would you do ? And how do you feel if the local authorities support those culprits who take away your home as their own property and you're condemned when you use force to chase those culprits out ? That's exactly what the international community is doing towards Palestinian people. An absolute stupidity.

The land belongs to its people… and Palestine is claimed by its aboriginal people regardless of their religion.

I don't think lands belong to their people forever. Just compare the map of the world today to the map of the world a thousand years ago...

That's WHY Israel was unjust at the beginning. It doesn't matter that it USED TO BE their country.

And it's also why it's unjust to kick the Israelis out now. It doesn't matter that it USED to be the Palestinians' country.

Dispossession of people from their countries is going on as we speak all over the world. In Sinkiang (legally in China) it's happening TO a Muslim people BY non-Muslims. In Darfur, it's happening TO Muslims BY another Muslim people. In southern Sudan, it's happening TO non-Muslims BY Muslims.

This is the way of the world. If you're at the beginning of the process, you can stop it. But once it takes hold, you can't do anything about it without compounding the injustice. You have to look for a compromise.

And that will be the shape of the peace to come in the future, regardless of what the hot hearts say.

I agree....that area of the ME was populated by diverse ethnic groups and religious groups. To say it belongs to all of one group and everyone else are outsiders is wrong. That land has history dating back to the Stone Ages. We desecrate the memories of those who lived there ages ago by saying it belongs to just the Jews or just the Muslims or just the Christians. History says otherwise.

It seems to me obvious that it IS too late...

The debate about Israel's existence may still be going on. But Israel in fact exists. The Israelis simply aren't going to leave without bloodshed on a truly massive scale. They are rooted there...several generations have been born there, a whole history has grown up there. Israel can be erased as easily as Oman can be erased. And neither one of those things is going to happen.

What CAN happen is that Isreal can be prevented from taking over all of Palestine. That I would say HAS happened: and it's a good thing too.

And that's where a reasonable settlement of the issue can be had.

But there's no settlement on offer for Israel's disappearance. Insisting on that only means years and years of fruitless, pointless struggle and thousands and thousands of deaths---mostly Palestinian deaths.

And at the end: Israel will still be there.

And... and here's the real kicker.. Israel exists as a state, created by none other than that august organization...

The United Nations.

So it's not going anywhere.

Get used to it, get over it, and get on with your life.

We know for sure that Israel will be deleted like a file on any pc one day.. but when will that day be; thats another issue.
For now we can say; when the tax payers in a certain country stop sending their money to Isael, that will be the start :)

The first part kind of cancels out the second part for us.

It's because of the insistence on "deletion" that the checks keep flowing, even at the worst of times.

And it's because of that insistence--in large part--that the Palestinians don't have a homeland today.
