View Full Version : Do you consider older women beautiful?
marianna 07-05-08, 10:21 PM By older I mean 35 and older.
I think too many stereotypes are placed on women. Older women tend to have all the negative adjectives such as: old maid, dried up, etc...while older men are viewed as being "distinguished".
Why else would there be so much pressure for women to marry so young?
Thoughts?
Pygmalion 07-05-08, 10:46 PM Yes I do like women that age if they are slim, have short hair, wear jeans, energetic and have serious looks... I dont know why that style for that age! Most female CEO's have those things except the Jeans!
marianna 07-05-08, 10:50 PM Oh man not me! :) I think I am average.
I believe women like Sophia Loren are gorgeous! Audrey Hepburn...beautiful.
yeah off course them beautiful
There's alot of beauty there... if one can recognise beauty...
I look at my 75 year old grandmother and I still see beauty there. And she was very beautiful when she was my age. She was stunning.
My grandfather passed away over 10 years ago and a guy she'd known when she was younger asked her to marry him a year later. Imagine being proposed to at 66! Silly woman refused because she didn't want to relocate to the UK and leave us here.
marianna 07-05-08, 11:22 PM That is so cool Thalia....and just think that man was carrying a torch for her grandmother all those years!
That is so cool Thalia....and just think that man was carrying a torch for her grandmother all those years!
yeah!
You never know what's around that corner.
I'm a year away from my 30's and I've been told that your 30's will probably be the prime of your life.. so, I'm not too concerned with leaving my 20's anymore.
marianna 07-05-08, 11:28 PM It wasn't no big deal for me when I turned 30. Now 40 a different story. But my brother is having a hard time facing 40 also. He will be 39 this year.
It was for me up to some time ago... but my 30's will mean a happier me.
By the time I'm 40, I want a laid back life. Or rather... I want my life back. :hyper:
I still miss being 18. There's so much I'd change if I could go back.
How cute, older generation people comforting themselves
marianna 07-05-08, 11:41 PM No kidding. Crimmeny.........So much negativity.....tsk tsk
pixie girl 07-05-08, 11:44 PM Sometimes the older some women get, the hotter they become
hehehe
Amo_l_Oman is the kinkiest, most delicious and sexiest woman ever. Grrrr....
NiGhTFaCe 07-05-08, 11:56 PM Naah, if she is sexy enough & at that age, she better not tell me.
MissKindy 08-05-08, 12:14 AM Oh so she's a shae i always thought of her as a he ..hmmm
Yeah sometimes older women look beautiful and amazing they had enough experience to put it all right :p
minerva 08-05-08, 02:00 AM i think one thing that makes an older woman more beautiful is self confidence, that sometimes lacks in teen years, when a person if full of self doubt.
i'm sure hitman would kick these women out of his bed for being too old.

toxic_honey 08-05-08, 05:20 AM all women are beautiful no matter how old they are IF they know how to take care of themselves ;)
Rossonero 08-05-08, 05:40 AM I consider my mother as most beautiful :)
Like Thalia, I think my grandmother is stunning and she is 70! Everyone who meets her tells me that she is pretty - Mash Allah! When I speak about her, some of my friends would ask: "Is she the pretty one?" just to know which grandmother I am talking about. The other day my grandfather and I were having a chat and I commented about how pretty my grandmother is and he is like yeah, she is prettier than all her daughters and granddaughters! Too bad, no body got her beauty, and you know what, it is true!
She is active, confident, well spoken, eloquent, sweet hearted, naturally beautiful and I don't know, I just always feel like she is always glowing! Mash Allah
Cameron Diaz always had rotten skin. Never that special and now she looks even worse.
Kylie is still cute, fair enough.
Madonna is a grotesque masculine parody of herself...I would rather kiss Nabhan. Either end.
Sharon Stone's aged very well...classic bone structure I guess. Michelle Pfeiffer, there's a real beauty: Never thought she was all that back in the eighties when she made it big..but boy, did she mature well! Jodie Foster....Sigourney Weaver....mature women of character; that's very beautiful.
But in general..hmm...yes I can see some old bag over 35 (i.e. like me) as still being beautiful. But I don't particularly want to go out with one. Sorry...harsh but true!
fatamooo 08-05-08, 06:34 AM Monica BELLUCIIIII - love love love her. She's who I wanna look like when I'm older. A mix between her and Salma Hayek.
Actually the first time it popped into my head that getting older doesn't mean losing your looks is watching Kim Catrall in Sex and the City (I only started watching it from the beginning recently - weird). Something about her confidence as well, it's so attractive. I don't care what anyone else says about Ms. Jones, I like so totally heart her.
marianna 08-05-08, 06:40 AM Confidence is awesome in anyone and when one sees an older women well put together, physically and mentally fit totally beautiful.
And the added element of "wisdom" and "experience" makes them all more hot. I guess, if they have the physical package, then they would be hotter than younger girls because they know what they want in life, they know who they are and they're experienced!
I look at my 75 year old grandmother and I still see beauty there. And she was very beautiful when she was my age. She was stunning.
No wonder :p
Lets not judge women by their looks, this post is unfair to the softer gender, I find it quite sexist.
I dont really care how old she is, to me, the richer she is the hotter she gets.
Diabian 08-05-08, 11:17 AM Oh come here maaaaaaaaamaaaaaaaaaaaaa

It's only sexist when a man is saying it.

sameerb1 08-05-08, 02:43 PM i consider beautiful women beautiful...who cares about age? i mean...
Angel_Eyes 08-05-08, 02:49 PM though madonna is the oldest women among those pictures of older women, i think she looks the youngest of them.
I think a person's personality plays a role in keeping the body looking young. Being happy is also the key..i think Goldie Hawn is a good example of this.
older women can look just as good...it's about attitude..and you are only as old as you feel:p
FAITH86 08-05-08, 03:57 PM Like who cares :p
hey we don't like pot bellied bald guys either mate! fair enough!
Touche Minivan! And maybe I am on my way to both...still...somethin's obviously still working :hmm:
fatamooo 08-05-08, 07:27 PM Madonna scares me. Although the list of hottie older guys is still pretty long, too.
George Clooney... Patrick Dempsey (oh yeah), etc.
Tom Cruise used to retain a certain charm until he traded in cult-like fame for an actual cult.
marianna 08-05-08, 07:28 PM Personally I would never be with an overweight man. Bald doesn't matter but he has to be athletic like I am. I cannot stand to be with someone who thinks so poorly of himself that he lets himself go to pot.
I think older women who take care of themselves in both the mental and physical perspective is awesome. Why complain about getting old it is either that or die so make the most of your life and live it to the fullest.
toxic_honey 08-05-08, 07:33 PM mimosa! :o no woman will marry you if she saw ur post! :os wth!
what about Catherine zeta Jones 39

minerva 08-05-08, 07:54 PM he doesn't like her.
she's too old
hitman don't like her either. she's from the 'older generation'.
marianna 08-05-08, 08:16 PM She and I are the same age. I see allot of wonderful role models for older women. We aren't hampered any longer with the old maid image. Throw that in the trash....time to live!
Catherine is gorgeous, along with Sharon Stone and Michelle Pfeiffer.
OMG when did "older" become your 30's?
Yes there alot of very attractive women that are up in age.
I see them all the time :D

I'm surprised you think that way if you yourself have been overweight merely 3 years ago. I don't mean offense.. but... it just strikes me as strange, that's all.
I think people try to emphasise and single out too much on what beauty is exactly. But if we all took the time to find the beauty in something, instead of expect it to come out at you and hit you, all of us would be alot happier with ourselves, for starters.. We're just too used to looking for the flaws instead.. too consumed with finding imperfections to realise just how beautiful you or someone else is.
This is why I love the job I trained for. It was my job to find the beauty and bring it out.. often leaving the client surprised she could really look that good.
marianna 08-05-08, 08:58 PM I found out the hard way what weight can do...what it did to certain family members and I cannot go through that with anyone. What I find moronic is men who are really overweight and they only want this toy store barbie doll at their side and she has to have the perfect hair, teeth, clothing body while he is a slob. Not to say all overweight people are slobs. Because that would be narrow minded.
But to me a man with that kind of above attitude regarding women (and doubt he would date someone his age) his mentality is that of one.

Ok.. with that I agree.
Still.. men who are SO into their self image and expect their women to be perfect also make me sick. Men who are full of themselves that way, who have to stop and take a look in every mirror they see, repel me to the core. It's like their ego is so massive, there's no room for anyone else.

I dated this doctor all of three dates. He was so INTO his self-image (read narcassistic) that it drove me bonkers. Plus every other word out of his mouth seemed to degrade minorities or was a curse word and I was like screw that. A person can be beautiful on the outside but have the soul of a beast within. No thank you.....For me...happy to be healthy inside and of course out. I just don't get how men or women who are so into their looks don't focus on the inside also.
That is why I find older women so attractive. Those who DO work on the inside also. She doesn't have to be a model. Her spirit shines out for all to see.

you'd be surprised what older woman ...

Jihad4Truth 08-05-08, 10:02 PM I always though Mariska Hargitay was a hot older woman.

The point that everyone is desperately trying NOT to make here, is that men are often attracted to women a little younger than themselves. There are beautiful women of every age of course, but Catherine Zeta Jones is still married to a man over twenty years her senior.
It's not an insult to women to say that. It's just biology. And no I wouldn't date CZJ either, not because she isn't hot - she is - but because judging by her interviews she might just be an egotistical pain in the butt. Oh...and all the women mentioned in this thread are married as far as I know!
Demi Moore? Nope...has a body like a man. She'd be more attractive if she didn't try so hard to look like a teenager, and let her butt get a bit fat like a normal 40+ woman. Anyway, why the hang up? So what..my answer to the question "do I find older women attractive" is...well...some are attractive...but as a bulk age group, no! It's just a fact, most men don't lust over women who are older than they are. But what's the biggie? Everyone's hot to someone :D
Men are often.. men are often..
Men are often attracted to women who look like sticks.
a) doesn't mean they will get that
b) doesn't mean there aren't men who aren't
Women are often attracted to men with six pack, a muscular back and all his hair.
a) doesn't mean they'll get that
b) doesn't mean there aren't women who aren't
It's obvious that many men like women younger than themselves.. just like women like men to be taller than them. But I don't see short men committing suicide over it.. cos there are obviously women who wouldn't mind being taller.
Just as there are men who actually like older women.
As for myself, I have never and never will even consider someone younger than myself. And it has nothing to do with looks.
Interesting contrast between Mimo and Thalia!
Men MAY be attracted to women older than themselves. But they are usually attracted to women younger than themselves.
It's a shame, I agree. But there it is.
But ATTRACTED only goes so far.
Many have been the men who May Decembered it and then afterwards asked themselves, "What on earth have I DONE?????"
I think mimo and Thalia said exactly the same thing...and Jeff too...didn't we?!
I think mimo and Thalia said exactly the same thing...and Jeff too...didn't we?!
well, I disagreed with your "desperately trying not to make" comment.
It's obvious that men like younger women. Need not even be said.
Usually older women are too challenging for them, you see. It scares the shit out of them.
Doesn't it mimo? :hyper:
I think mimo and Thalia said exactly the same thing...and Jeff too...didn't we?!
I disagree with all three of you! :p
lol...Thalia, even younger women are not to be trifled with...:help:

If you say so, Dr. Phil Mimosa.
I disagree with all three of you! :p
off topic:
so you've met mimo's imaginary friend too? :hyper:
btt
I think mimo and Thalia said exactly the same thing...and Jeff too...didn't we?!
I just realised that I wrote my post before you edited yours with the "everyone is hot to someone"..
so you have a point.
People sharing pictures of celebrities that spend in one month on their looks & lifestyle more than the combined salaries of all those posted here
And if there was a uncommon case of someone willing to marry an extremely old aged woman, that doesn't necessarily mean they are attractive
Black Lolly 09-05-08, 03:06 AM If you mean Omani oldies? No, they look really bad lol.. no offense..
For me, if I was a guy, I wouldn't like the "have experience in life" thing in old woman.. it's just not fun when they know everything and they act old.. and are wise and clever and right all the time.. it must be annoying..
But then again I'm a girl :D.. so yeh

are you saying that the 35+ women in here don't take care of themselves? any woman can look good at any age if she takes care of herself, and any girl can look rubbish at a pre 30 age if she lets herself go.
sorry, but online we can only find pics of celebrities. on the dare to share, there's only old ladies isn't there?
minerva 09-05-08, 03:19 AM oh and hitman...if you are referring to thalia's granny...lemme tell you a few things about her. she's got a most beautiful face, she is really really fit, she has a ful head of thick hair, which thalia maintains, and yes, she looks much younger than her age. good genes you know....does not happen to every body. some people are old aged effers even though they haven't reached 30. the way they speak says everything about them...i wouldn't like to speculate..
Black Lolly 09-05-08, 03:28 AM ^ Geez, how old are you? :p
marianna 09-05-08, 07:45 AM Lordy where is my cane. This 39 year old lady is feeling might old (SIGH)!!!!
And if you believe that I have some land in Florida I can sell ya.
RefinerZ 09-05-08, 01:05 PM i am an archeologist. the more you get old, the more you make me interested.
Thug4Life 09-05-08, 03:05 PM Old or Young if people do really believe in that say: beauty is from the heart....the external look as well age wouldnt matter...
I mean ...Who cares....as long as one side dont take a bad advantage of the other side...Its all Good baby!!
I believe that love can come to you at any age, so If it really is a case of falling in love then I see no harm...even if it was at the age of 100 and the woman's breasts were sagging all the way to her feet.
Endure Whisper 10-05-08, 10:48 AM If she takes care of herself then yes she does. Otherwise, they look old and ugly :os
World_Trekker 10-05-08, 11:20 AM Which is more important- beautiful outside or beautiful inside ?
RefinerZ 10-05-08, 12:13 PM Which is more important- beautiful outside or beautiful inside ?
Beauty isn't measured by outer appearance and what clothes we wear,
but what we are inside. So, try going out naked tomorrow and see the admiration!
"Women" - are attractive to men no matter what age they are because that's the whole point of the gender thing.
minerva 10-05-08, 02:33 PM Which is more important- beautiful outside or beautiful inside ?
duh.
the outside of course. being nice helps.
marianna 10-05-08, 05:02 PM I have see some lovely older women whose good genes belay any doubt to beauty in older women. I have seen younger women who are and God forgive me (naturally ugly) however......if one were to break it down to its most simplest form.....every woman is beautiful irregardless of physical traits due to the fact all of them are God's wonderful creations.
Cinnamon Queen 10-05-08, 06:22 PM My friends and I were having a random talk, and then we came to the topic that older women are more appealing to mens eyes... that is so true, if you give a 22 year old guy a choice between a beautiful 18 year old girl and an equally beautiful 35 year old woman, there is a higher chance he'll go for the older one. I have noooooo idea why. I think older men are hot though and I'm saying 40+ :P
boys in general c older women as being *better experienced* if u kno wat i mean
Cinnamon Queen 10-05-08, 06:46 PM ^ you dodgy dodgy lil boy :P

Boys maybe, but men are happy to be the gentle teacher too...:6:
UmKhalid 10-05-08, 08:10 PM I recently found out that my grandfather was three years younger than my grandmother! (May God have mercy on her soul)
And I also found out that there are other couples in my family where the wife is older than the husband.
Surprising.
marianna 10-05-08, 08:43 PM My mom is almost four years older than my dad. Still married after 42 years.
