View Full Version : When you get home from work..
Angel_Eyes 06-05-08, 01:11 PM This is for the guys....
when you get home from work, do you prefer to find your wife at home? Do you always want her to greet you at the door if she is?
Do you always want her to greet you at the door if she is?
Am I married to a door girl?
Angel_Eyes 06-05-08, 01:16 PM i am sure there are some guys who are happy to get home and be greeted (in one way or another ) by their wife. something like a ,"Hi dear. how was your day?" *hug*
something like that.
i didn't mean DOOR GIRL :bored:
and be greeted (in one way or another )
Try to be more specific, what do you mean by saying "or other"?
What "other" ways of greetings are there?
Angel_Eyes 06-05-08, 01:21 PM LOL use your imagination man...gosh!:XD:
ufff you! never mind...:shy:
back to the question....would you like your wife to greet you at the door ?:p
DeSerTDesTroYeR 06-05-08, 01:36 PM It would be nice, but it is not something that she has to do.
I prefer that she does what she wants to do, not what she thinks/feels I might want, so it's a matter of choice.
And no I dont want her to always be there at the door, if she can then nice; if not then its totally fine, since she could be busy with other things and instead I can go to where she is.
i want my wife to be sleepin so i wake her up n give her the flowers i brought for her
Angel_Eyes 06-05-08, 01:40 PM ^ooh never thought of that:p
interesting.
nezitiC 06-05-08, 01:40 PM My future wife has to wear a black and red uniform like those receptionists wear at hotels. Then when I get inside she has to greet me everyday in a different language, let's say today Chinese and tomorrow Japanese. This way she will keep me happy. And Oh yes, the dinner table must be full of colorful food.

nezitiC 06-05-08, 01:43 PM Oh Well yes you reminded me of the movies i-robot and AI.
Angel_Eyes 06-05-08, 01:45 PM ^she'll be the "perfect wife".
^only he will have to buy his babies
nezitiC 06-05-08, 01:48 PM I want to live in a farm, there is nothing beats the greeting of cows when the owner gets home, imagine I drove by and parked my car next to my fat French and Danish black and white cows and they go like "Mooo Mooo" it does indeed give me the feeling of home, and then after that sound wave passes by, I could get inside the house and hear my wife complaints about me being late or i forgot to take her to the city mall to buy her a new skirt.
Angel_Eyes 06-05-08, 01:54 PM ^what the? okaaay..you DO have a wild imagination.
riv: you're right:p
Endure Whisper 06-05-08, 02:06 PM I'll answer for my husband:
He'd rather I was home but if I was out he wouldn't mind.. After all, it doesn't happen everyday. The first thing my husband does when he gets back home is give me a tight hug and a beautiful kiss
Yeah sure, at the door with a big grin and a plate of rice and maraq (curry) in her hands.
lol I dont mind anything. there doesn't have to be a certain thing to be done when am back home, that will make it boring!
I like variety of events, use the imaginations that Hitty was hinting for :XD:
Rossonero 06-05-08, 02:29 PM I'll answer for my husband:

I'd do what your husband does :p
Now if there are 4 wives and each of them standing by one of the 4 doors, what the husband should do?
^^ group hug! spread the love!

FLORENTYNA 06-05-08, 04:02 PM Yeah sure, at the door with a big grin and a plate of rice and maraq (curry) in her hands.
i get the scene lol
ok am not a guy but why would one want to wait at the door? plus its too hot in Oman its better that he got his own key instead of waiting for wife to open the door:bored:
EvilFire 06-05-08, 04:09 PM I'm not married but I would love:
+To see a smile from her.
+Not rushing with any questions or requests ot nagging.
+Allow me to sit and relax and let me start the talking.
+Would like her to look good and not smelling food or coming out from kitchen and the soap foam on her hands.
+Sitting next to me and cuddling me.

its not about waiting at the door ! lol that would be nuts!
for eg, he'd call n say im on the way, then u'll be ready for him for eg, in the living room watching TV, when he comes in u go to the door to greet him!
i think its so sweet!
If he is ever looking for me, he can find me in the kitchen!
^ :XD:
I don't think I'll be there unless we both arrive home at the same time since we are both going to be at work :p
NiGhTFaCe 06-05-08, 06:32 PM She better be sleeping, so I can change & leave the house :bored:

Looooooooool.. Enough Said!
I'm no dude so I cant say much.. But By far the best answers I've seen ;)
If my future guy expects that all that time, then he is more than welcome to hire a butler
^ haha! good one. :p
well, he can look for me around the house, and we can hug and kiss then? or is it a door thing?
UmKhalid 08-05-08, 09:36 PM It's not practical. A wife can do it sometimes for a change, or just to scare the hell out of her husband (since he would think she's going to ask for money).
But all the time? Like a ritual? - La Yuba (No, father)
marianna 08-05-08, 09:46 PM No Way Jose...............ugh..........yuck.........blech ...............
Libellula 14-05-08, 07:13 PM I personally really don't like waiting for him to come home. I don't enjoy it when I have nothing to do, and I just sit around feeling useless waiting for him to come home (which is like the highlight of my day - sadly). I can't wait to start working so I don't have to wait around, and we can just get home at the same time
Kreeemy 14-05-08, 07:43 PM I’ll speak for my husband,
He prefers that I am at home when he is back from work and I noticed on several occasions that he gets upset if I am out or a bit late.
If food is on the table then that’s a bonus.
I don’t think he ever spends time at home unless I am there.
marianna 10-06-08, 07:08 AM Now if there are 4 wives and each of them standing by one of the 4 doors, what the husband should do?
Simply priceless.........
WoLF DoLL 18-06-08, 07:57 PM Why am I the one who has to be waiting for him? I think he should come and look for me :p
Soulless 18-06-08, 08:01 PM i dont know , am not married yet.
TripleTee 18-06-08, 08:39 PM how lovely... why won't the young ladies here take lessons on 'how to receive your husbands home'... but i think overall that hitman's first post summed up the whole chain of thoughts in my head.
that's like asking when your husband comes back home.... how would he like his eggs?
(now who said eggs would always be a part of lunch? or whether the lady will be around at home in the first place to make it?)
but in any case..... if she was I don't think any guy here would find a wife waiting right behind the door for him......... (continue the story)....
IF she happens to be though... (that could be fun :p :p )
you're talking about housewives i deem?... what a loser that would be.. not because she wouldn't be working.... but because taking the fact that she has to greet her husband as a custom is an old-timer. where's imagination gone to? now you've got letters on doors with rose petals to where she wants him to go for example. but nooo... you have the usual 'I need to go greet my husband' like you're expecting an examiner. geez... stop thinking of it as a job description and relax.
If I got home and she opened the door for me, first I'd think "aww...how sweet to have this loving welcome when I get home".
Then I'd think..."Eh? I'm not married...who the **** is this woman in my house?!"
WoLF DoLL 18-06-08, 10:15 PM . geez... stop thinking of it as a job description and relax.
LOL Exactly!
marianna 18-06-08, 10:18 PM The mentality of having the wife smiling and greeting her husband at the door reminds me of the USA in the 1950's. Sure nothing wrong with it but don't let her become the proverbial Pavlov's dog either.
As soon as I come home, I find dinner made, floors washed and kitchen spotless.
Then I rush in and see if my love is there.. to give him a big kiss. :D
Damn I love working. :hyper:
Superbia 18-06-08, 11:07 PM I think if would be nice of her to do so, but not to a point where she rushes home if she was out.. just to greet her husband at the door. It's stupid.
minerva 18-06-08, 11:08 PM look girls....
this might be a good manual.
http://www.rucenturion.com/images/goodwifeguide.jpg
for those who think that serving their husband is the epitome and their mission in life.
it was published in the fifties (last century).
or you can use my manual, easier to read. (scuse the french in it)

marianna 18-06-08, 11:23 PM I remember seeing that article about wives in my homemaker's class in high school.
It made us girls laugh.
Thanks for the memories Min.
I especially like this part:
"Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first. Remember his topics of conversation are more important than yours."
!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone - slap me. :hyper:
minerva 18-06-08, 11:59 PM don't forget thalia, you have no right to question him. ({whack whack})
WoLF DoLL 19-06-08, 12:00 AM The women were slaves,no it was even worse! Robots!!
don't forget thalia, you have no right to question him. ({whack whack})
of course.
Now excuse me while I go get me some beauty sleep so I can be all smiley and refreshed when he comes in. lol
minerva 19-06-08, 12:03 AM of course.
Now excuse me while I go get me some beauty sleep so I can be all smiley and refreshed when he comes in. lol
put some perfume and makeup on before you sleep so he'll find you beautiful.
No really.. I AM going to sleep. :hyper:
My kind of beauty sleep make take quite a few hours though.. :p
Persian Queen 19-06-08, 01:54 AM i will work before i get the chance to try to wait for my husband .... I'm still single and never tried such things .. maybe i change by that time who knows ?
:angel::angel:
marianna 19-06-08, 06:08 AM THANK GOD I didn't grow up in the 1950's because I would have been a rebel before my time! ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! :sabla:
ToomuchaT 19-06-08, 08:59 AM If I'm coming from work or I have been away for the whole day, I really like her to be there at home when I get back home. The reason behind that is just seeing her takes off the load of tiredness that I get from work. It's an amazing feeling and priceless.
The golden rule in the marriage life is do as you like to be done, in every thing.
I tend to take a short nap, if possible, and I love going to the gym, watching tv, surfing, browsing and reading. But nowadays kind of messed up, need to get back into system :p
bu7sain 19-06-08, 09:51 AM Maaan.. just imagine this scene.. you go home from work at 5 or 6pm.. its half boiling outside.. you're totally knocked out! the one thing you DONT want her to do is ASK you..
why are you like this? Why are you not happy? and even worse, stand at the door!
There is a SMARTER way to tackle this issue! She should leave the door UNLOCKED for easy access, leave the A/C switched on for a cold breeze that'll hit your head once you enter.. and if it's one of those days where she has guts to suck up all your energy, she'll be like.. "hey partner, let's hit the club foo" and you wouldn't say NO to that.. I wouldnt say no!! You're damn right she'll suck up all the energy!
So you decide on where to go, and finally decide to crash at your buddie's crib! Some old friend who recently got married.. and invite more friends.. and just chill out..
By then, you got 2 options: 1) if you need to release all your stress the GUYS way, you got your buddies with ya or 2) if you need to release all your stress the lover's way.. you got your wife with ya!
It's almost 9:30-10pm, you're TOTALLY KNOCKED OUT! You did whatever you can do during the day, and it's time to snoooze!! Or if you're a gentleman, you will have MORE guts to prepare next day's dinner..Just PREPARE not cook...leave the cooking for her!
Guys, change the lifestyle..we're in 2008...you should create a very cool atmosphere..what COOKING are you talking about? Guys can cook.. n its known that male cooks are better than female cooks! So show her what you got!!! Be "AHEAD OF THE GAME" ;)
That's MUCH better , in my POV, on what to expect from your wife..
rather than standing at the door.. or being outside.. she should be INSIDE but ready for some action!!!
What if she wasn't standing one day?
What if she was standing EVERY day? :P
our next topic is yet to be discussed!!!
PEACE!
He'd better say: "Oh, hunni, I'm home!" >_>
