Would you consider yourself a competitive type of person? or does winning not matter too much to you and you are just happy with what you have/you get?

I'm very competitive.. and if I can't do it the first time, I won't get pissed off or anything.. I'll just try again and again and again.

Just yesterday I was trying to explain what a "bad loser" and what "being a sport" meant to my oldest.

I don't think I'm a sad loser.. I can take losing pretty well, especially if I get another chance later on.

I guess I'm competitive with myself?
Like, if I did fairly well on something for the first time, I'll definitely do a better job on it the next.

Same here :)

I really can't leave things that I really want to work go on with nothing, so I just keep trying and trying and trying ... even if it takes me years :)

oh I'm so laid back and I'm so not bothered, most of the time I'm happy with what i have.

Hate competitions to be honest. but as long's i reach my goal i don't care whether I win or lose. (might even be happy I lost if that made me reach it better)
but there's one thing I know I'm not fond of... and that's losing in an argument. The only time I'll accept losing in that is if my opponent was so reasonable that s/he gave me no point unexplained to argue otherwise, then I'll volunteeringly raise the white flag :XD:
other than that...
I don't mind losing in general to a certain extent...however, I don't like losing too much... cuz then I'll start doubting myself.

also one thing i don't like losing in is if a person or someone actually believed in me. I'd hate to disappoint them.

regarding competitions as a whole... does that competition have a lot depending on it?... is it just a mere game?... my ambitions would then differ and ofcourse how seriously I take it as well... which is rarely :XD:.

depends on what I'm competing for!
If it's something I'm really interested in, a task, hell yeah I'm very competitive! And for sure I'll be very happy to get it, the fruit of my hard work!
If it's someone I care about, I'd be competitive only if I'm not put as an option. Otherwise I'm the worst quitter ;)

I'm very competitive and I really encourage people to compete with each other, I find that it brings out the best in people and pushes them to their limits (in a positive way).

It depends on what. If it's something important to me, then I am very competitive. However, a lot of the time, I am not bothered. I would rather invest my energy doing something I care about or nothing at all

I am not competitive. I hardly bother about my level among others.. I care about what I do, how well I do it and that's fair enough for me. I wouldn't try to be "better" than other people.

I'm content...I don't aim high so when I get low I'm not very upset.
You shoot for the moon, when you fall, you're stuck in a vacuum with no gravity and looking for a space ship to carry you home :hyper:

I don’t know if I am competitive but I used to compete with my peers until very recently, especially when it comes to school…I must have some rivals competing over school performance and grades!
I would calculate my target GPA every semester in order to keep my place or to takeover another rival’s place…
When I grew older…I laughed at myself…life tastes the same or in some circumstances it tastes better being reasonably laid-back… when I look in retrospect, I think I missed out on so many things because I kept myself busy with one thing only…
The best thing is to measure your performance with your performance in the past not with others’ performance… competing with others in your circle only guarantees local competitiveness, competing with yourself is more helpful towards building your confidence , way less stressful and is more constructive, I think!

I guess it depends on the thing i am competing for, if it was something that i have to finish then yes i am competitive, if its something else then i dont think i am competitive.

Prove it!

In general, women are more competitive than men, but most of them dont know that, and we men dont (and shouldn't) tell them
