iv met a zillion people who wont eat tomatoes in any kinda food, or for me its the parsley, n the other green things that r like it..

is there something that u can NEVER eat! n would rather starve then have?

Probably any meat/fish that's raw or semi raw.

Frog's legs, tongue, brain, heart, kidneys, belly and snails. I can't eat this kind of parts or creatures.

Tomatoes and Onions.

Oh come on! I eat tomato daily like apples! I eat cherry tomatoes, big tomatoes, small tomatoes, round tomatoes, egg-like tomatoes ... I can't imagine a more yummier thing in our fridge! (kind of gives you an idea of what our fridge contains)

Thing is, you got me so hungry I'm going to eat one now! :love:


There are some things I can't eat, but not because I find them disgusting, but because I'm not used to or my body does not accept a certain type of food.

Omanis are known to love onions.

Fried onion, baked onion, grilled onion, raw onion *crunch crunch*, onion in rice, in curry ... etc.

i eat everything as long as it's cooked well. i love raw fish and raw meat (carpaccio) ....maybe i won't eat fish eyes or fried blood...... (saw them on discovery channel) but i'll try them once for sure.

Guys, I meant Plain Onions and Tomatoes..the ones that come in salad etc..lol but whenever I'm eating Biryani n these things if there's a piece of onion/tomato I see, I remove it.

i think anything that's out of the ordinary. like raw meat/fish, lizards, bugs, frogs, intestines, tongue, kidneys, testicles, eyes, etc..

why do so many of you hate eggplant? i think it's lovely. roasted with some garlic and lots of olive oil. mixed with fried peppers, onions, tomato (ratatouille)

"Eggplant" is the American word, because there are some that are small and white like eggs. The other word is "aubergine".

I had a chicken shwarma in Jerusalem once, and it's not like the little rolled up ones...they stuff the bread with meat, garlic mayonnaise, tomato, AND deep fried aubergine and potato. It's a total heart attack, but it's the most delicious shwarma I've ever had. Bet your glad I've shared that eh? :hmm:

Anyway..er..I eat pretty much anything that's allowed. I'm not that fond of cauliflower but I'll eat it if it's on my plate. And one thing I really thought was a bit weird: I was having a traditional meal in Riyadh once, and with the meat and the rice and the "margoog" etc, they also pass around the kidneys and the liver etc. Fair enough. But one thing I was really surprised they eat was the lungs ("ri2a"). They don't really taste of anything and the texture is really chewy and unpleasant I thought! When I was a kid we used to get the lungs from teh butcher and boil them up for the dog. And as far as I'm concerned, the dog can keep them!

Two other things I found in Saudi that I didn't try are locusts ("jarraad") that they eat in the south, and a big lizard from the desert they call "dhubb". Anyone eat those things here?!

Apart from that, all the 7alal things that have been rejected so far you can give to me coz I love them! Squid..mm...sushi...yum....carpaccio..mmmmm......: D

I am not sure if anyone eat Uromastyx(Spiny-tailed lizards) here in Oman, though in Saudi Arabia they even make Kabsa of it :p
