Calla Lilly 30-04-08, 07:25 AM Exams in less than a month and assignments overloading already.
How do you shake the stress away ?
Ive used the chocolate the running the sleeping the chatting the random 100 showers a day. Stress just doesnt want to go away.
Complaining to people without stress simply intorduces stress to thier lives, its like a disease!
How do you guys shake your stress away?

Endure Whisper 30-04-08, 10:31 AM Keep sometime for having fun. Go out and have fun.. we all need that when we're stressed out. Also, have some good night's sleep. Even if it crosses your head that you need to study, try to ignore it and sleep.
With me, if I have a good sleep, I can handle so much stress.
5alfanooh 30-04-08, 10:42 AM I study the most stressful major because we don't have exams and our grades are spread through assignments and projects throughout the semester, I have one assignment or two per week.. lol and to be honest with you?? Never think about the assignment as if it will be graded lol and you will feel great.
* Today I was writing an Essay on Affordable Housing and Watching Champions League Soccer Game :D and because i was chilled and careless i ended up finishing it before time and satisfied of the outcome :p

one more thing i would like to add. The Atmosphere... If i have a good bunch of friends or classmates that you enjoy hanging out with, organise study gatherings in the state library in your city and every two hours go to the city and have some coffe somewhere people keep passing and feel positive.
Dam3eti 30-04-08, 12:14 PM I still go out and have fun during exams, I don't really change my life style I just study more than usual. I also go to the gym when I'm really stressed and release it all out.
Hang out with me ;) lol. I'm the coldest person you can ever meet when it comes to exams and deadlines. I don't panic and take it so easy. So yeah, this feeling can be contagious :p

Also, somehow shopping helps me. The more stressed I am, the more money I spend.

ToomuchaT 01-05-08, 03:13 AM Againg psychology!! Just ask yourself, will stress do me any good?! The answer of course no and in contrast it scatters your thinking and energy, so why I should stress myself!

i sleeep,but it never helps!
i usually play music n keep on working... sometimes go n do the work at a cafe o something, u change ur mood n place n feel refreshed

to smile and laugh about what i am saying get a Nike poster and put it in front of you and when you get doubts or stress a lot just look at the poster and read:
"JUST DO IT!"
It may help?
For me... in UK I don't know why but it is hard for me to let the stress go away...
but this is what I would recommend:
- talk to friends about it but try to not talk about it a lot, they might give you some advice
- do something DIFFERENT if you feel you have been doing this every single day, it might make you feel better
- do something you like in your free time and don't sit and think about your stress and how you can get over it because it will make you worse
- never EVER study before the exam by 1 day because you will stress and be VERY AFRAID! Study beforehand and make time for breaks up to 30 minutes.
Study when you feel like it and stop when you don't want it BUT keep in mind how much time you have left so you can study everything in its time.

ToomuchaT i always say that but it hardly ever works !
My secret when I was a college kid: Start early.
Hit the books as soon as you wake up in the morning, have a plan, do easy stuff first, for example reading etc, then go for difficult stuff, problem solving, applications etc.
Summarise what you do, have a daily study plan and tick off the tasks, reward yourself as soon as you complete a difficult task
