View Full Version : Dessert at home.
Endure Whisper 28-04-08, 01:11 PM How often do you have desserts at home?
By desserts I mean, the cooked sweet food.. not Patchi or any chocolate bars you buy.
----
Back at my dad's house, we'd have desserts every Thursday after lunch because that's the only day we sit and have lunch together.
At my husband's place, we hardly have desserts! Even on weekends when everyone comes over for lunch. My mother in law is a healthy person and will only make fruit salad (I don't consider that a dessert).
You?
My mum does make desserts from time to time, chocolate cakes cheese cakes etc mostly when we're having guests over or something.
We have them everyday after dinner:
-Puddings
-Layali Birute
-3eish el saraya
-Rice Puddings
And the list goes on and on and on :p
Libellula 28-04-08, 02:43 PM At home, we only have desserts when we have a family gathering/lunch/dinner and the whole family comes over. This normally happens maybe once every 2-3 weeks? There's always ice cream, chocolate and cookies around though.
At my in-laws place, we have dessert every day after lunch. I love it! Thinking about it makes me wanna be there right now. My favourite is home made frozen yoghurt, or the Oreo cheesecake.
pixie girl 28-04-08, 02:49 PM Desserts at home are usually fruits or a candy bar...The proper ones are during family gatherings.
Cinnamon Queen 28-04-08, 03:01 PM back home, everyday there has to be at least a cake baked, or other types of desserts. Our family loves food, so I think we dont sleep well at night without our dessert.
my mom is extra healthy so its always fruit salad.. but i always make chocolate cakes n cheese cakes for my dad when he's around..
other then that.. once in a blue moon ill make something for our gathering on Thursdays.. but again.. every1 is too healthy.. so the sweet is eaten by the maids!
No dessert at home. If you are hungry, eat a fruit.
