When I first got married, I used to and still get comments such as: "you guys look so cute together" or "you make a beautiful couple"! Everyone gets them when they get married..

However, my husband and I are known as "Yajooj and Majooj" in his family :p apparently, we're the devilish ones.. it's funny how the minute I walk in the sitting room, his sister would be like: "where is Yajooj?" Hahaha :p

I don't recall how it all started but I think it's so true. We both do things that a girl my age or a guy his age would think of as childish or could even disapprove! His nephews and nieces would tell us the naughty things they've done and instead of telling them right from wrong, we just help them cover the truth.. and when their parents find out, they shout at us alll together hahaahahah.. of course my husband and I just laugh it off and get away with it..

With his aunts, and I can never forget this incident.. one of his aunts was really sick and we never went to visit.. his cousin went to visit her with his wife and she told them: "I've been sick for a long time and you guys never bothered to ask! Endure and her husband already came twice"! And actually we didn't.. so we went there the next day and when we saw her she told us that she's disappointed that we didn't visit her so I showered her with hugs and kissed her forhead and before I said anything she said: "You devil! How can I never get angry with you?" LOL.. we get away so easily with anything!

~ Are you and your spouse given a funny nickname? What is it/are they (if more than one)? And why were you given that nickname?

Not nick names...but we 5 cuzins whenever sit together, no one in our family dares to sit next to us...they know its a devils majlis (seating) then.
3 of them got married...we 2 are left no married...the 3's wives also try to sit with us and get along with their hubby's but at the end they also get some from us and then run away.
at the end...no one gets mad at us.

I don't have a spouse, so no funny nickname there! However, my mother sometimes refers to me as Monica Lewinsky because of my full lips. My father refers to me as "Chilly Willy" because I eat a lot and have an insatiable appetite (Mash Allah!). My father's nickname caught like wild fire at home and yeah, now my siblings (+ mom) tease me using that name. My brother refers to me as "chicken" because apparently, I am the youngest and I somehow remind him of little "chicks"

Vy. funny!

Yeah, it's "Gog and Magog".

"Gog and Magog" are used as sort of "prophetic bookmarks" in the Old and New Testaments standing for something like "the enemy nations." They are destroyers who threaten the people of God but end up being destroyed themselves...

If I ever find a couple where the husband or wife just tends to join in with the other one and say the same thing, I'm going to call them Pete and Repete.

There's an old joke:

"Pete and Repete went out in a boat. Pete fell in. Who was left?"

"Repete."

"Pete and Repete went out in a boat. Pete fell in. Who was left?"

"Uh...I just said. Repete."

"Pete and Repete went out in a boat. Pete fell in. Who was left?"

"I already answere you! REPETE!"

"Pete and Repete went out in a boat...."

Etc. etc.

Lame, but traditional! :p

My teachers called me sarsoora (which is cockroach in Arabic) and no I don’t resemble one! xD it just kinda sounds like my name. and ok maybe because I was the youngest and littlest one in class then but even after I shot up and became taller than my friends they continued to call me that.
my friend used spongesarah squareskirts sometimes
dad used to call me karanga which is peanut in Swahili (also kasanga and cassandra which all kinda sound alike)
oh and someone recently started calling me sus and susu which I’m not sure I like xD
one tutor calls me smiler, killer, and smartypants xD because I used to correct him in class.
the rest of my nicknames are pretty normal.. I think

They call me something in Balushi, usually when I talk all like you guyz neva get me stuff or care for me n bla bla just to annoy them. That's bout it I guess.

When I'm married, hopefully my wife will call me love nicks rather than funny nicks.
