Well i want to have a party for my Sister who's going complete her fourth year in medical studies in another college and would be away from her friends who are studying another major..

so I need New Ideas for a girls party please!

i'd go for a really girly theme...say 'Hollywood'. the girls have to dress up in the style of filmstars, there will be music from movies etc....

once i done a harry potter party for my younger kid. all the kids dressed up as wizards and witches, i made them chocolate magic wands, a hogwarts cake, funny coloured drinks and we even had 'the sorting hat' at the beginning of the party. we had a 'baby monitor' inside a wizard's hat, put the hat on each child and my husband was talking via the monitor from behind a tall cupboard. the looks on their faces was priceless.

i know a bit out of topic, cos this was a kid's party....but you can do something similar.
seeing that she's a medical student...maybe a 'doctors and nurses theme'. the costumes can be a bit saucy..but it's a girly party after all.

I already told my friend she got excited! its amazing! i love it

also the nurse and the doctor theme i thought about it before BUT! the problem is that i know some of my sister's friends are kinda boring and they wouldnt take time to wear like doctors and nurses .. -_-

but the hollywood theme anyone can do it and its easy.. they can wear any costume doesnt have to be a specific famous character .. :D


PS: am sure ur kid had ablest at his party!!! kids love harry potter!

make sure you plan it all before. there are lots of party websites.

imagine dressing up as marilyn, angelina, grace kelly...girls would have a fun day at the hairdressers..and it would get the creativity going. plus it's a good excuse to dress up and put lots of makeup on.
as for the cake...you can do an oscar theme...as in an 'oscar' for your sister who's done so well at med school.
the invites will be hollywood style invites. you can hire a red carpet.

For Libellula's bachelorette, I went as a show girl. I hope I was able to pull that off! For my sister's bachelorette, I was a chef. For a friend's birthday party last week, I was a police officer. I had the whole package; a whistle, toy gun and handcuffs :p

And you feel so confident in a costume, where otherwise, I would have felt so self conscious...

the party was AWESOME! at least my sister loved it! heheh

the girls dressed amazingly some wore styles like 50's 60's 70's style and some wore like army girl, navy girl, business woman, greek princess ,indian, cat woman, bat woman , love angel, pailot , rock star, punk , chines , african mama, uni graduated girl ,horse rider, baseball player, Hidi *the cartoon* mini mouse ..

the theme colors were yellow and pink!
the cake looked like a doctor injection *had to look for something that is related to her major!*


we made each girl vote for the costume she liked! and we had the best top three

the surprise was when we played *Hang man words* and the sentence was

*her name* ITS your party!

it was fun and then we showed her the cake and she was so shocked! hahaha


i had a blast having all my friends and hers and we had a good time *even tho i didnt like their music :P:P
