This is HM's new yacht, called "Al-Said" which he will be using to travel around Europe this summer.

The Yacht is the 2nd largest in the world after Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid's yacht "Dubai", which is 160m in length, while HM's is 150m in length.

The yacht is loaded with a tennis court, golf course, swimming pools and many more.

Ithink it is the largest by base dimensions, but as a volume I dont think it is, Nabeela ordered by Adnan Khashiggi is the largest but I think he sold it to Prince Waleed when Adnan went bankrupt, Prince Waleed renamed it Kingdom ...then some letters and numbers that I dont remember.

btw thats a beauty.. when my grandma n aunt went to spain.. they saw an omani yacht.. n i was either 4 tourist of it was a royal 1.. coz they gave them all omani products n omani things.. n invited them 4 dinner.. n they were all marines o police..

Um, isn't this the Maxim Gorkiy Cruise ship? It's German. It'll be coming to Oman next Wednesday during its last world cruise.

The general guide used to be about $1 million per metre for these luxury yachts. But this thing is huge...tall too. I'm guessing somewhere towards the $200 million mark...?

I think it's ugly. I liked his little one, "Nawras" that was converted from a tugboat or something. It has character.

a lot of superyachts come to malta in summer. we've had abramovich, schumaker, elton john's yacht, and a few oil people from the middle east too. if this one comes to malta, i'll keep you posted. :)

His Majesty deserves this Yacht and more ... for a Ruler whos luxary is to travel into different villages and live in a tent, this is nothing!

I only wish who would have a closer look at where the countries money is spent & how some are living in poverty that should not be in a country like Oman.

A few corrections, the new replacement ship "Al Said" is 155meters in length, it does not have a tennis court, swimming pool and golf course!!!!

The previous much smaller in length "Al Said" is given to the Ministry of Tourism. Fulk Al Salama (H.M's Supplier Ship) is still in service.
