Sounds like a typical story.

What's up with all of the MMA (mixed martial arts) movies these days?

I heard Never Back Down was good, which is another MMA based movie, and is sort of like a remix between Fight Club and the UFC. This movie might only appeal to those people interested in Jiu-Jitsu or MMA, because like NiGhTFaCe said, it's seems very typical.

I wouldn't mind watching it if there was nothing better showing at the movies that particular week

Would have been fun if it was comedy and starred Jim Carrey or Chris Tucker :p
