Do you always take off your makeup before going to bed, no matter how tired you are, or do you sometimes just not bother?

View Full Version : Removing make-up Libellula 19-04-08, 02:11 AM Do you always take off your makeup before going to bed, no matter how tired you are, or do you sometimes just not bother? minerva 19-04-08, 02:13 AM always always.....no matter what state i'm in. that has been drummed into me as a teenager and if i happen to doze off with make-up on, something wakes me up in the night to go and wash it off. Dam3eti 19-04-08, 02:22 AM I always remove my make-up, I can't sleep with it on, especially kohl. I wash my face with a facewash usually, and if I'm not bothered I use Johnson's wipes. Kreeemy 19-04-08, 02:27 AM Sometimes when I am exhausted I would just be just too lazy to take off my makeup that is why I have replaced my normal foundation with mineral foundation because it claims to not harm the skin if one slept wearing it. Nella 19-04-08, 02:31 AM i don't wear much anyway..sometimes nothing at all. but i always wash my face before going to sleep, since washing my face and brushing my teeth is an unchangeable bed time routine for me. unless i dozed off all night lol, then i can't help it. :D minerva 19-04-08, 02:35 AM my new mascara is really easy to remove. you only need warm water and a cloth. no panda eyes. http://www.beautyandlace.com.au/New-Blinc-Mascara.jpg Libellula 19-04-08, 02:47 AM Sometimes when I am exhausted I would just be just too lazy to take off my makeup that is why I have replaced my normal foundation with mineral foundation because it claims to not harm the skin if one slept wearing it. I use a mineral based powder, didn't know you could get away with that! Cool WoLF DoLL 19-04-08, 02:53 AM 98% of the time I take off my make-up before going to sleep, but rarely I have one of those days where I seriously don't care about anything that is holding me from just dozing off! minerva 19-04-08, 02:55 AM what's mineral foundation? regardless of how 'good' it is, i still beleive at night the skin should be free of every trace of makeup, and it should be nourished with a good nightcream. Dam3eti 19-04-08, 03:08 AM I was going to ask the same about mineral foundation? What brands have those? Superfreak 19-04-08, 03:13 AM 98% of the time I take off my make-up before going to sleep, but rarely I have one of those days where I seriously don't care about anything that is holding me from just dozing off! me too! I use johnsson's make up removal wipes mostly but i sometimes switch to other brands. _____________ nosa 19-04-08, 12:33 PM if its eye linerr ( kohel ) then i dont really bother.. but if there's mascara then i do.. Endure Whisper 19-04-08, 12:36 PM Always.. I use Loreal make-up remover. I am too tired, I skip what I do after I use the make-up remover (wash my face with soap). Evana 19-04-08, 01:20 PM I wear powder foundation and I always wipe off my makeup before going to bed with a tissue then wash it off with water. Libellula 19-04-08, 01:31 PM what's mineral foundation? regardless of how 'good' it is, i still beleive at night the skin should be free of every trace of makeup, and it should be nourished with a good nightcream. One of the most popular mineral foundations is Bare Minerals (http://www.bareminerals.com). Other brands are now coming up with mineral products, most recently Clinique. MAC also has some products that have minerals, but they're not 100% mineral based, they still have other chemicals in them. Pure Natural Mineral Makeup from the Earth Bare Escentuals uses only the finest ingredients in our products. Made with crushed minerals from the earth, 100% pure bareMinerals: is free of preservatives, talc, oil, fragrance and other potential skin irritants is free of fillers and binders is weightless provides adjustable coverage—from light to full will improve the condition of the skin over time Our bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation looks like a powder—yet it's NOT a powder. It feels like a cream and buffs on like silk, giving skin a natural luminosity that stays true all day. All ages and skin types can benefit from bareMinerals—especially those concerned with skin sensitivities, allergies, scars, blemishes, rosacea, wrinkles and pigmentation. The foundation provides impeccable coverage for every skin type and skin tone, and also protects with a natural SPF 15 broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation carries the Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation. And bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation is just the beginning. Bare Escentuals has created creamy, feather-light color for all over your face, cheeks and eyes. Our complete line of loose, powder-like products are 100% pure bareMinerals—this includes our foundation, blush, eyeshadows, glimmers, glimpses and liner shadows, with the exception of Mineral Veil finishing powder. I personally haven't tried the Bare Minerals line, but I have heard great things from a lot of people who use it. I use MAC's Mineralize foundation and powder, and it really makes my skin look good. It gives me this "glow". Apparently the minerals are supposed to be light-reflecting or something. PsYcHo 19-04-08, 01:54 PM I always remove any make up I have on before going to sleep. I wash my face and use a cleansing cream. I don't use wipes because I have sensitive skin and they burn my cheeks :S dam3t-malak 19-04-08, 02:13 PM yes i do remove it before going to bed, but i dont really wear it that much, just wiping it with tissue then wash with water and soap Cinnamon Queen 19-04-08, 03:56 PM to tell you the truth, sometimes I completely forget and leave my eyeliner on, but I usually take it off. I wake up in the morning looking like a zombie, not that I dont already look like a zombie hahahaha.. PEACE! Superbia 19-04-08, 04:50 PM Id on't wear make-up, other than kohol and lip balm.. Sometimes I don't bother taking 'em off, instead I'd do that in the morning.. It's cool getting the smudged kohol look all over your face  Libellula 19-04-08, 04:51 PM I normally use wipes on my face, and Garnier Sensitive makeup dissolver for my eyes (this stuff is awesome, actually removes my mascara completely so I don't stain my pillows). I follow up with washing my face with my face scrub. If I'm very lazy/tired, I might just use the wipes and that's it.. although I don't think they remove all make-up. Kreeemy 19-04-08, 05:35 PM I personally haven't tried the Bare Minerals line, but I have heard great things from a lot of people who use it I have tried the bare mineral line, the coverage for a mineral foundation is superb but couldnt find the right shade for me. It was just too pink no matter what shade i tried. I use laura mercier mineral foundation and i just love it. It doesnt cover much but it just evens out my skin and gives me a natural glow. Diva 19-04-08, 06:55 PM I ALWAYS remove my make-up before going to bed, ALWAYS, regardless of what state I'm in. Even when I do that I sometimes wake-up with panda eyes (I wear a lot of kohl every day). Lord knows what I'd look like if just went to bed with a face full of make-up! marianna 19-04-08, 07:23 PM I used to sleep sometimes with makeup on but now as I have gotten older you gotta pamper that skin...not just with eating the right things, drinking enough water but to clean it so that you don't end up with breakouts. HRM 20-04-08, 07:13 AM unfortunatlly when i'm really feeling lazy i don't i know its bad for the skin and all but i'm just lazy Mesmie 22-04-08, 06:54 PM Yah I alwaaays make sure I remove make-up before I go to bed..have to let the skin breathe. I wash it straight away using a face wash..I don't use wipes nor make-up removers. Filly 22-04-08, 07:42 PM i only put eye liner...and yea i take it of bfore sleeping always :) Lym 22-04-08, 07:44 PM God bless Make-up wipes.
