I personally never wear trainers unless I'm at the gym. I just think they're so unfeminine and I'd rather wear pretty shoes.

Do you wear trainers?

i'd rather wear pretty shoes all the time, but because of my job, i wear trainers. i need to run around with 23 brats and i can't risk a twisted ankle. but for everything else, give me heels all the time.

Will only wear trainers if I HAVE to. Like at a gym, or taking the kids to the countryside with their bicycles.

I only wear trainers at the gym, by trainers I mean the running shoes. However, some sports brands have shoes that could be used at the gym and for sports and that are fashionable at the same time and could be worn with jeans.

I also wear those to uni, when I have a long day.

Hmm those are cute - but I still believe they only belong in the gym or for use during sport activities.

I still wouldn't wear them out in public, but that's just me! :p

like Dam3eti.

i'm a sandals/flats person, i only wear trainers while training, or when i'm going somewhere where wearing trainers is a must. hiking, etc..

^Maybe coz most of my clothes are sporty, I'd go out with my gym clothes if I wasn't in Oman, so I don't mind wearing trainers with jeans. But only those type of trainers, I can't wear running shoes with jeans.

Trainers lack femininity but they are very comfortable and that's what really matters. I wear trainers or uggs on long days and when it's been raining or is too cold for flip flops, sandals and ballet flats.

Ditto. Also, some Ballet flats are reaaaaaaaaaally painful regardless of how cute and good they look with your outfit! I always have to put band aids on my feet before wearing them

I only wear them when I exercise; gym, jogging, walking.

Ahh, I live in my ballet flats :) They're all I wear.
Yeah, sometimes they can be painful until you break into them. I always carry band aids with me.

I think it's worth suffering the first couple of wears, because later on they get very comfy. They're just too cute!

Trainers are a must for me here in the UK. Some of mine look very feminine and I actually enjoy buying them in different colors and styles.
I sometimes wear boots but I don't find them very comfortable, or maybe I'm just not used to them.
After I came back from my easter break I brought along some of my ballet flats (love them!!) but I don't think it's very convenient to wear them here as it can rain unexpectadly and I wouldn't want to get my feet soaked.

It's too cold and wet to be wearing flats over here, my feet are naturally cold it's very hard warming them up so I like to cover them well when it's cold. So I mostly wear trainers and boots.

Other than that, I love flats! Very feminine and they look good on well groomed feet. Miss wearing my flats :(

The only time I wear trainers is during physical education lessons in school, other than that I hate 'em! They're so manly :yuk: I'm better off with heels and flip-flops

You can always wear them with socks. I only do that during winter (black socks), and they look alright, although I hate covering my feet.

The rest of the time, it rains pretty much almost every day where I am too, but I still manage just fine without socks as long as I watch out so I don't step in a puddle.

I hate flats.

I'm short and with flat shoes I just feel frumpy. I never feel smart enough. If I have a long way to walk, I wear comfortable kitten heels. I'll only wear trainers or flats at the beach or in soil/grass/mud. ie.. where you definately cannot wear heels.

ohh comfort FIRST .. i soo wouldnt say this three years ago, but this place NEEDS comfortable shoes that you can walk around all day ;p
ballerinas and sandals can be comfy but when im in no good mood i get those comfy trainers out ! theyre not the huge bulky ones though, quite feminine as far as trainers go ;p

j/k :D

Can't wait for summer... that's definately a NO TRAINERS season.
Can't stand it when people wear trainers in summer. Actually I lie. I CAN stand them.. as long as they don't take them off anywhere near me.

Do you think trainers are manly? I don't.
I do.

Look at it this way.. I sit at home all day, in some frikken nighty or washed out PJ's, doing housework and "socialising" online. I change nappies, wash puke up off the floor and scrub toilets. I wash dishes caked in half eaten food and scrub underwear till my knuckles are raw.

When I go out, I want to look like something organic. :hyper:

I want to feel like a woman.
And I don't want to do it in comfortable trainers and track suits. I want to do it in strappy sandals with heels and clothes with fabric that slips and flows, that hugs and flares at the right places.

Being too comfortable reminds me too much of being at home in my comfy nighties and pj's all day, sporting comfy unruly hair and comfy 'I have barely bothered to wash my face' comfort...

Pass the heels.

When I first read the title of this post thought trainers were well errr the training bra. But the shoes on here look great. BTW, I have a pair of heels that look similar to what Minerva just posted. Bear to wear though. OUCHIE!

I have two pairs similar to those gemstone shoes. One is red and the other pinkish.

You know I don't even remember the last time I put on a pair of trainers. They're so tacky!! I only wear them when I'm playing sports which I hardly ever do. Not my thing. I prefer proper ladylike shoes. HEELS!

Comfort - so I alternate between ballet flats and trainers (but sheek ones). Sometimes flip flops but rarely recently.
