View Full Version : Posting pictures & comments on Dare to Share
marianna 06-04-08, 06:29 PM I really like that thread. I like to see who is behind the usernames. I think it is only human nature to comment on these pictures and besides kind of fun to read. Can we have a category for this so that people can post and talk? Just a suggestion. :cute:
marianna 06-04-08, 06:58 PM No but I don't think we can chit chat on that thread. No offense to the moderator because I did not post this to attack anyone just making a quick observation. I like the "personalness" of being able to chat about a picture as long as it is not vulgar or hurts the person's feelings. For me just makes this Sabla family closer when we discuss a picture. If the thread gets to be too long i.e. 12 pages of it then just start a new one.
Superbia 06-04-08, 07:04 PM Significant point you've pointed out there Marianna, lets hope the team takes the suggestion into consideration. :)
If the posts are not counted then there is no problem.
good suggestion marianna, lets see what the admins and lounge mods have to say about this.
NicoBambi 06-04-08, 10:34 PM What you mean by 'category' ?
I support the idea though, it's up to the admins and other mods..
OR simply change the rules of the dare to share thread! :mmhmm:
Thug4Life 06-04-08, 11:19 PM didnt get it :)!!
MissKindy 06-04-08, 11:25 PM didnt get it :)!!
What she's trying to say is that we cant discuss the members picture we can only comment bout it once ..some members want to know more than just ''oh that's a cute pic you got there''
I guess the admins and mods should discuss this idea because we want to ask more bout the members picture :p
marianna 06-04-08, 11:28 PM Exactly Miss Kindy! :D
Thug4Life 07-04-08, 12:02 AM Pm???? then MSN??????? :)
I think that the members should be able to freely discuss the pictures as much as they want as long as they're not throwing insults, it's in the trivia sabla after all so what harm can discussing the picture do. Perhaps the rules are strict there because insults and meaningless chit chat is thrown everywhere instead of actual posts that are worth reading, so maybe if the members make an effort to post rich comments then things will go alot smoother and not comments like:
'oh, nice picture'
and then in another post, commenting on the same picture again
'will you marry me'
or something along those lines, which i personally view as a seriously immature way of posting.
minerva 07-04-08, 01:16 AM ^i, the undersigned, will promise Nabhan and his team of very capable and fabulous moderators to post intelligent words when i want to comment on a members picture. i will strive and do my best to keep the thread open and free from idiotic rambling commentary.
Signed,
Minerva
:hyper:
lol, well it's up to the lounge mods now, but I'm all for a less strict members pictures thread (why that very corny 'dare to share' catch phrase still being used is beyond me).
marianna 07-04-08, 01:22 AM I think maybe one of the new rules should be no suggestive or lewd comments that way if someone acts like a horn dog the comment is deleted automatically.
Thug4Life 07-04-08, 11:04 PM nope.....its fine the way it is now...
knowing how many members around will act when it opened freely...
are they up to the level of maturity?? No offense meant though!
IF NICOLAS going to take the responsibility of altering the rule and HENCE moderating that thread ALL for him ...I wont mind....
I dont want more headaches any ways!
NicoBambi 07-04-08, 11:42 PM I don't have time for the moment to be honest. But we could try, and if members don't show enough maturity, we'll go back with the current rules. What you say?
-> you'll have to wait until the next part is opened.
marianna 07-04-08, 11:54 PM Sounds cool to me. Thanks for listening! :D
