Anyways, to put on weight... the easiest way is food with more fat content than protein or carbohydrates.
The fat will be stored in the hips or belly region: difficult to metabolise!!
But I think you better visit your GP and discuss the issue, cos sometimes there could be hormonal and biochemical reasons for not gaining weight.

Sting: i don't even exercise and i don't even move around that much! Being a couch potato will make no difference! It's because i think a lot so i burn a lot of the food that way. If you can think of a way to shut off my brain then that would be nice:XD:

should have substituted bebsi with fanta. the caffeine in pepsi might make your metabolic rate go up more.

the best healthy way to gain weight is to bulk up muscle wise.

I'd love to know if there's a way, but so far nothing's worked with me. My mom took me to some doctors when I was younger and they said I'm healthy. It still doesn't stop people from telling me how skinny I am and it's annoying.
I never gained weight for years, maybe 1 KG or so, but I was surprised to see that I actually gained around 3 KGs (which to me is shocking) this semester, when I thought I ate much less and walked a lot (in the UK)!

be cool gal! we use to have a friend n took pills n it didnt work with her.. but the best way is to work out.. get some muscles tones.. so they will be heavier then u'll gain weight!

1. believe in yourself that you are gaining weight. *look at yourself and say goodness I've put some lbs*
2. fear that you are gaining weight somehow << that works perfect for people who usually fear things that might happen to them and one day these things will happen for real.
These are just one of my psychological theories about things in life.

Yeah, i am the same weight since i was a teen!! never gain! I always stay the same. I lose weight easily though! I can lose even one kilo DAILY!:bored:

LOOOOOL i eat out more than you think! In fact, i eat out every single day! We always get from restaurants! And i do eat those things! I love sweets and french fries, but NO USE!

It is so hard for me to gain! I have people telling me how thin i am and that i need to gain. IN FACT, i got a comment TODAY! pff i'm not sick and i don't have an appetite problem!:mmhmm:

i REALLY hear you on this! I get HAPPY when i gain even .5 or even 1 kilo!!! Frustrating to MAINTAIN it though!!

The thing is, i don't really ENJOY food. I just eat to shut my stomach up. Plus, i'm not a heavy eater! I eat until the hunger goes away. I rarely eat until i am STUFFED! PLus, i don't eat red meat! could that be it?:rolleyes:

RAW milk- raw cream - raw butter. Is that easy to get in your country?
Pasteurised dairy is very bad for you, but real (raw) dairy is great.

You can eat what ever without feeling guilty. Why on earth you would want to put on weight if your doctor says that you are normal.
Anyway you can start up by eating 500 calories more a day or add one more heavy meal to your daily diet. This will make you gain at least 1/2 kg per week. If you feel that your appetite is not allowing you to eat that much then you should consider joining the gym to lift weights, it will boost up your appetite and you will naturally want to eat more.
Two of the people i know have managed to put on weight by following this regime.

Oh yea nuts and dried fruits could be a healthier option. They are both very high in calories especially the salted nuts and it can get quite addictive.

my cousins have the same problem.
i thinking getting married will solve your problem, since everyone seems to be putting on weight once they're married. men and women alike.
but Minerva's suggestion isn't bad either. but you'll most probably get sick of French fries, and that would be a shame. :p

My friend was so concerned about his weight..I mean a girl being a little thin is acceptable...but he's a guy and his weight was somewhere in the 50s. Too thin! He then went to see a doctor and was introduced to a weight gaining program. If you wanna gain weight you have to eat food filled with proteins (steaks!!!) along with beans and fibres. Plus, thin people should have more than three meals a day. Try to have many snacks in between the main meals.
Oh and I agree with whoever said that working out helps gain weight.
