View Full Version : I Feel Heavy.

For the last couple of nights, I have been experiencing this sense of heaviness spiritually - but only at night when I am about to sleep. It's like I'm waiting for something; not sure what but I'm most likely expecting it to be tragic :os.

Has anyone else experienced this? Should I give it any importance or is it just a passing phase?

Lym.. you might have something on your mind.. triggering anxiety or stress..

This is what it sounds like to me..

Deal with what ever it is that is at the back of your mind.. close any "books" you might have left open.. spring clean, open all the windows and move furniture some around.. change the curtains and order something new next time you're in a restaurant.

Give yourself a change.

It always works with me.. ;)

Haha, but there is nothing "new" that is triggering anything in my mind. Nothing happened within the last week. Whatever has happened happened waay in the past and is done with...

Hmm, will try your suggestion..but I can't change the curtains - not my apartment :p

Maybe your just meditating a bit too much :os When I think of something a lot, I kind of have that feeling too.

I sometimes have the same feeling of this and when I have it I tend to do something i enjoy like going to the cenima or hanging out with my friends. But if you're in your room then reading a chapter from Quran will make you more relaxed and comfortable. This is just a temporary trepidation and can go as soon as you drift your mind in something else, i guess.

Lym,

its just called " Dala3" , you probably over-spoiled yourself. The best solution for you is that you go for jogging -cold shower.. that will be enough to knock you down.

Take a good look at the world around you, not a quick and meaningless glance but a piercing stare into everything happening, we as people can tap into the emotional state of the world and this is obviously what has been happening with you.

You can ignore this feeling and ignorance will surely return or you can be grateful that your life isn't as bad as some individuals.

LOL

That sounds very much like an anxiety and stress related feeling. Certain things may exert mental stress without our awareness, and sometimes it's accompanied by anxiety. I think I've been down that lane before.

What EvilFire recommended is actually a good idea, exercising is known to aid with stress related symptoms. Then you've got your valerian pills from your chemist that should calm you down and aid with sleep. You might also want to consider cortisone (cortisol?) blockers if none of that works, after consulting your GP of course. :)

I hope you feel better in no time.

I do go to the gym :). And it is scary to think that I need pills for this. Oh well, thank you for your suggestion!

Alright that probably did sound a bit daunting, but it's not something you should consider unless all else fails :)

Happens to me so many times... mostly when something happened that changed me somehow to the better or worse, or when something's coming up that I could be prepared for but don't want to face! It's always "CHANGE"!

When it happens, take deep breaths; inhale and exhale.. it helps! If it doesn't make you sleep, switch on the TV and watch anything until you fall asleep... or call someone, get busy..

I always need a busy atmosphere around me when that happens. So I switch on the TV and sometimes wake my husband up; he talks me to sleep.. So basically, it's emotional change, stress, etc..

I wouldn't worry if I were you.

I used to experience something similar..Just change the place of your bed and sleep on your right side. Try to relax and clear your mind before going to bed.

Skip the pills Miss Lymmy: Drink a glass of water before you sleep, and try going to bed a little early with a good book to read, then turn the light out only when you're tired. I find it a good way to relax before sleeping as it distracts your mind from whatever is occupying it, and lets your imagination wander off somewhere else.

Also, later on you can get married, and then there is an even better way to relax before sleeping, but best leave that for now.

I do experience it sometimes. What I do, is leave the bedroom and go to the living room watch some tv or net until I am really tired and then I would go back to bed

now i am beginning to feel that you have subconscious worries...i used to have that..BIG TIME..and in the end, it was nothing. it was weird indeed.i know what you mean Lym.

btw, has this happened before or is this the first time?

It's the first time it is this heavy. Anyways, there is nothing much I can do it seems. Most of you say it is phase rather than an intuition. I hope it is not intuition. I will try to "change" my lifestyle by keeping more busy and less like a recluse - perhaps that would help.

i don't think keeping busy would help..if it's really heavy this time as you say, then it must be something deep and subconscious. Ignoring it wont help. Try to see what's wrong. What is bothering you? Ask yourself truely, "What is it?".

Just change the place of your bed and sleep on your right side.
Changing the way you sleep can be good. Placing my head where my legs are supposed to be, it helped me at a time.

Everything can be wrong and you might not feel it...
If I remember correctly, I think I had that as well..
It comes and goes.. For me that is...
I just ignore and ignore... That is teh ONLY good thing I am capable of and it MIGHT make you feel better at days..:cute:

Lymbo, you said you've been living "like a recluse"? It woud certainly help to get out of the house a bit, and walk, see people, get some clean air in your lungs!

I have the same problem sometimes because I do a lot of work from home, that sometimes I don't leave the house all day. But it's not healthy, and it definitely makes me feel better to go out and do something, walk a little in the town or on the beach, or even just run a couple of small errands.

Get out there Lymbo! You can buy some good books to read at bedtime while you're out :D

^^Haha, have two excellent books to read :p. And Don't worry, I've major plans to socialise. Let's hope this feeling changes simply because I've been a recluse for the past few weeks!
