I'm sure you all noticed the increase in the number of mosquitos lately, it really is annoying. My legs and arms are covered with mosquito bites all over...and some of them don't look like normal mosquito bites, they look like burns! It's been like this for four days now. Are there any special lotions/creams etc I can use to get rid of them?

I use Vaseline. I don't know if that's what you're supposed to use, but it works really well for me.

I came back home yesterday and god, I got the best record in the world of getting bitten by these annoying mosquitoes. Oh well, let's blame the global warming for that. <_<

I hate this season. I get mosquito bites all over, even worse I scratch them.. So I'm left with marks that take almost a year to go away, but not all fade away.. I still have some left from a while back.

Though, once I had 'em on my face and scratched it, so it looked really bad.. I went to the skin specialist and he gave me some lotion to apply -forgot the name- anyways, it went away in a week.

Yep, there are sprays and lotions at drug stores. Go for the once with lemon [they say mosquitos can't stand it, don't know if its true but it does the job], I bought mine when I was away last month and it works fine.

Thank God I don't have bites on my face...only arms and legs..the thing is I keep scratching the shit out of them can't help it lol I think vaseline is useless..I'l look for something more effective

^ What's odd is that, the marks I had on my face took less then a week to fade away completely.. But the ones on my legs and hands still exists :os

I never had marks from mosquito bites lol I'm just a bit concerned cause they look like burns, I guess it's cause I scratched a lot.

The marks appear when you scratch them a lot and it starts to burn, just don't scratch 'em!

3yooni, I feel for you! I get these reactions sometimes to mosquito bites like that...on my eye especially it just swells and closes up completely...have you ever seen "The Elephant Man"? That's me!

I was given some super-strong antihistamines for it, that normally take the swelling away totally in about 12 hours. But they also make you lie around like a zombie drooling and staring at the ceiling.

about a month ago i was at the beach with friends and i was the only one who got bitten by the evil flying things XD the bites stayed for soo long, i could even sleep from the pain and the urge to scratching which made it worse, its all scared on my legs :(

Theres this pink thingy u tab a peice of cotton and apply on the bite marks, i forget what its called sorry .
