Over 1,000 Danish websites hacked over cartoon row (http://www.business24-7.ae/cs/article_show_mainh1_story.aspx?HeadlineID=2750)

More than a 1,000 Danish websites have been infiltrated following a new controversy over the publication of a cartoon that insults Islam.

The hacker, calling himself United Arab Hackers and reportedly from Saudi Arabia, inundated online forums with exploits and links to infiltrated Danish sites. It seems the hits were indiscriminate – common factor being “.dk” at the end of the URL, which means the website is based in Denmark.
Many of these sites appear to be small and local. The websites of international companies based in Denmark, such as dairy producer Lurpak and Carlsberg, were not affected.

The hacker claimed in his communiqué that he will continue to attack all Danish-related websites and promise to “forcefully respond to all those who insult Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)”.

He suggested Muslims should express their protest through various media such as art, films and theatre.

Is this considered a peaceful mean of protesting?

this is extremely peaceful hacking any website ends with dk

but I wonder why they can't hack major sites of big companies like Arla for example.

ps. tonight I received sms in my mobile saying that the cartoonist who drew the blasphemous cartoons (his name is Eric Sanson I think) found burnt to death two days ago at the age of 89. If this is true, Allah swt has avenged for his Prophet(peace be upon him).

The cartoonist is called Kurt Westergaard. He is the one who drew the turban bomb cartoon.

He is very much alive.

not this one wudjab, the cartoonist who died his name is Eric Sornson (the surname might be not exact as I translate it form Arabic to English).

he worked in Jylland Posten newspaper as cartoonist from 1938 to 1985, he became famous when he drew the blasphemous cartoons.

the Danish media ignored his death.

the message I received in my mobile tonight it said he was found burn to death, the Saudi newspaper it says just he died for unknown reason.

main conclusion that he died.

may he rotten and decay in hell.

I'm not sure about Saudi or Denmark... but defacing someone elses property is not acceptable practice in the US.

And I'm positive there are laws against that here in the US.

So for those that think hacking websites is a form of peaceful protest have fun

Allah knows best ...

Just proves my point! Danes are good at nothing but producing dairy products. Even online, only the dairy products are of good quality :p

Anyhow, I am with the idea of boycotting everything related to Denmark so all of Denmark realizes that we won't be bearing with their hypocrisy anymore. All, we should send our message to them by all means necessary.

As for wudjab, I think he is just angry because he is scared some of his favorite fattening products might go out of business soon. Wudjab, I suggest you try substitute them with products made in KSA, they are of excellent quality and do wonders for emotional eaters ;)

Well, I don't know if any cartoonist died or not.

But when I go to google news and try the name Sornson, or Sorenson or Sorensen and stuff about death or Danish cartoons, nothing comes up...

I found it Jeff here it is:

Erik Abild Soerensen, one of the 12 cartoonists that back in 2005 contributed to Jyllands-Postens cartoons of the prophet Muhammed has died at the age of 89.

Mr. Soerensen worked for Jyllands-Posten from 1938 until 1985. He was educated at an private art school and became a staff cartoonist at Jyllands-Posten in 1956. The Muhammed cartoon was the last published work in a career that spanned half a century. It was published under the caption: “EDITED BY CLOUDS.”

As a consequence of the death threats against the cartoonists Danish police showed up at Mr. Soerensen’s apartment in Aarhus offering security instructions. Soerensen replied:

”I have passed the age of 85, I am sick and I have just lost my wife. Can it get worse? I don’t think so.”

I'm so sick of certain groups in this forum attacking each other.

Anyways..the person who hacked the sites obviously has no morals and is a complete retard, fine let him protest but he has no right to do that to people who probably want nothing to do with the cartoons. The only msg he's sending is that he's confirming that they were right about Islam (even if they actually weren't) but this action of hate sends out that msg.

Why now ? Why after this ancident ? ;)
==============================================

Well, The 'Islam' image is well-known. There's no peacful people as the muslims.

Muslims are like the most innocent people.

Muslims demand one thing; Don't Provoke our Prophets & our religion.

Muslims were good with the Danish people before they publish their cartoonish thingy, weren't they ?

They did something & now muslims hate them for it. I guess whatever happens now, muslims are not the ones to blame.

Is 89 too young to die ?

Your reliable source says reason of death unknown, you can't find a single source online that will say he was murdered and not died of natural causes and YET you still want to believe a rumor. lol.. amazing.

YOU find US a reliable source that says he was burnt to death. Please.
