It is no secret that Christianity in the USA, UK and other nations is increasingly under fierce attack in the media, in schools, in the courts and, all too often, even in churches. In a culture that systematically seeks to discredit Christ and His Word,
Pastor Dr. Erwin Lutzer commented “The Da Vinci Code is the most serious assault against Christianity that I have ever witnessed.”
Whats the wrong with code?
What rebuttals are there?
Living in a backward country, we cannot know many things.
Can you help us?
The Da Vinci Code basically tells a fictional story that is claimed to be based on at least some facts, wherein an American professor uncovers an ancient conspiracy by the Catholic Church to distort the nature of Jesus' teachings and surpress a "truth" about something called the "divine feminine". It uses various historical characters in history, like Leonardo Da Vinci, making them part of a secret club dedicated to protecting the "truth". But it's just a story.
The author, Dan Brown, took most of his ideas from a book by a couple of historical scholars, Messrs. Leigh and Baigent (and actually used their names in one of his more ridiculous characters). They were suing him at some point for plagiarism, but I'm not sure what happened. Anyway, if you read Mr Brown's books (and I can't say I'd put them high on the list of literary greats), you'll soon discover that he is a little...er..."liberal" with his research. I.e. don't confuse anything in the books with truth, or even assume that the author has any knowledge of the subject (e.g. the description of Spain in one book as a third world country...).
The book has of course been condemned by the Vatican as anti-Catholic and anti-Christian. It was also a massive best-seller. The movie was awful, don't bother.

They condemned with logic.
What are those logical statement?
Can you please inform us?
