Hey Men & Women

I just wanted to inform you Men and women

Women

the Women should be more aware of "Vaginal Yeast Infecton"

I wont go on talking about EVERYTHING about it but i will say what it is and its symptoms

Yeast infections are generally caused by an organism called Candida albicans or Candidiasis and there is no direct evidence that it is passed through sexual intercourse.

Almost half of all healthy, sexually active women, and one-third of all pregnant women tested had Candida albicans which may indicate that sexual activity itself may contribute to the growth of Candida albicans.

but also u dont have to be sexually active to get a yeast infection u can also get one by using products like Nair and wut not, also if u travel and some countires have different water and ur body isnt use to it.

Symptoms are;

In Women

Symptoms may vary from very mild to severe and include:

burning of the vagina
burning when urinating
discomfort during or after sexual intercourse
odor (not unpleasant)
irritation of the vagina
itching and burning of the female genitals (vulva)
itching of the vagina
painful urination
painful intercourse
vulva redness and swelling
Vaginal discharge is not always present and may be minimal, but when present may be:

cottage-cheese-like in nature
thick, whitish-gray discharge
watery to thick in consistency
Women who have chronic or recurring yeast infections may need to be treated with vaginal creams for extended periods of time

Also i want you woment to be aware that you may have a yeast infection for a realllly long time and not think its a yeast infection

Men

im not really familiar with the men, but i hope i can give as much info as i can

also in the end i'll provide a link

Symptoms;

Men may not experience any symptoms of the infection, however, if symptoms are present they may include:

burning sensation during intercourse
burning sensation of the penis
symptoms after intercourse if condoms not used
transient rash

I get a lot of vaginal infections by Streptococcus haemophilus, which gives the same symptoms and when your vagina starts burning and hitching :o the only thing is to run to hospital for tampon

tampon?

I don't think that's a very good idea.. unless you mean pessary.

A good over-the-counter cream for this is 'Canesten'. You just apply it to the surface of your skin.. and it will go in a couple of days.

Try not to wash yourself with strong soaps full of perfume.. go for something very mild if you get this alot.

Tampon to analyse the discharge
Yes if not too strong in one week, 10 days of betadine wash I can make it
Creams make it worse for me
With the lab test I get the antibiotic and kill it in 4-5 days

But sometimes anti-biotics themselves trigger yeast infections..

Hehe yes I know
I can take only Augmentin [the best to give yeast] cause I go tachicardic with Ciprofloxacin and other quinolones which are the best for gynecological-urinary infections
But for 5-6 days, with the help of a B complex and lactobacillus am safe
Am so scared of recurrent infections I go round with soap in the bag :D and that's not good either cause washing too much, kills your natural defences

If it's just a yeast infection and not a bacterial infection, there is a traditional treatment I've known a lot of women use: The micro-organisms in natural yoghurt kill yeast cells naturally. I've known women just get ordinary live natural yoghurt (it has to be live and plain, not the pasteurised type with fruit in!), and just apply it directly for a few days like a cream. Apparently it works pretty quickly, and no need for drugs!

N.B. Please remember, pharmacists are often evil :6:

The only advantage to have a certificate in pharmacy is that am not dead yet after 10 days of ciprofloxacin and 150 heartbeats per minutes for 3 days
It was anxiety, my doctor said :bored:

Or no sex at all. Even little girls get it.

It's got nothing to do with sex really..

It's transmitted mainly through sexual relations, in fact my gynecologist the first time made directly the text for bacteria cause am not sexually active
My streptococcus haemophilus is typical of pregnant women, and the baby is checked carefully cause it easily passes on him/her through the blood while coming out

From the frequent ads on TV, I understand the Monistat is a good cure for this problem.

I know that if I ever developed a yeast infection, I would be reaching for a Monistat.

If a woman gets frequent yeast infections she should be tested for diabities because this is a sign.

The Candida species are normal inhabitant's of the vagina & only when there is an imbalance (whether due to drugs or irritants et al) then the overgrowth of it leads to the symptoms & infection

It usually doesn't bother men but being carriers, they keep on transmitting the infection to their partners unless both partners get treated at the same time

And as Marianna mentioned, check for Diabetes or any condition that suppresses the immunity such as HIV, those with HIV get oral thrush very frequently, steroid drugs can also lead to infection with Candida
