This is a Canadian show that is being developed by a Muslim woman about an Islamic minority living in the middle of a western society. The show got a lot of coverage in Canada and America when it went to air last year. They are already in the 2nd season right now.

I think the show is nice. There are some weird mistakes that they have done, eg: the imam of the mosque being alone with Rayan a few times without a mohram, but other than that, I actually like the show. Their take on some of the issues is lighthearted and pokes fun of itself in a respectful way.

For once, it is a TV show that humanizes Islam rather than incriminate it.

I have heard about it when it started producing, it was making a buzz on CBC (Local Canadian TV) that broadcast the show. I find the show to be humorous and intelligent especially in choosing most of the controversies issues that surround the Muslim community especially here in the West.

However, I must say that this show might give a bad impression on Muslim Reverts (look at Sara lol), and certainly the relationship between the Imam and Rayyan as "Wit Insanity" mentioned but overall I think the show is successful and funny.

I can describe it in one word: stupid.
