Her XLNC 21-02-08, 12:10 PM the only ones we have (although we are surrounded with neighbours) ans deal with is my uncle place (dads brother) next to our house....which we dont interact that much with...although im still cloe to my cousins :)
Superbia 21-02-08, 12:14 PM I've been living in this street for over 10 years and I don't even know who lives around me, I don't know how their appearence looks like or their names. I just never leave the house once I enter it, too lazy I guess. Oh well. :os
^^ same here superbia, I don't know any of my neighbours and I dont really care much either. Maybe my mom knows some few but she cant interact much because she is busy most of the time, so It's just like "Hi" and " How are you?".
I like, it's good for your own privacy.

Do you have a good relationship with your neighbors?
Yes!!
How often do you visit each other?
Almost everyday...
Do you exchange food during Ramadhan?
Everyday during that holy month:D
Do you trust your neighbor to keep an eye on your house when you're not around?
Yes we do trust them because they trust me with their kids and their house...:D
In Muscat the relationship with our neighbours is just normal and not that cordial
but in the home town the neighbours are different. it's like we are all one family.
Do you have a good relationship with your neighbors?
Yes..my neighbour is my childhood friend I went to school with her...and we meet up from time to time
How often do you visit each other?
Every other week or whenever we wanna go out or something
Do you exchange food during Ramadhan?
Yeah always..
Do you trust your neighbor to keep an eye on your house when you're not around?
Yep..
My neighbours are all nagging old hags.
The only time we talk is when we have something to argue about. We exchange pleasantries when we meet in the street, but I don't like the whole "neighbour is at the house all day long" kinda relationship. Remember, once these people think your door is open, they'll start coming round uninvited at all hours.
No thanks. I like my privacy.
Rossonero 22-02-08, 10:26 PM Do you have a good relationship with your neighbors?

Jihad4Truth 22-02-08, 10:49 PM Some people just can't be friendly with their neighbors. It's like a territorial thing.
It's kind of sad. I think it shows what a miserable person they really are.
I always try to be friendly and neighborly to my neighbors. I could not imagine being otherwise.
well, i've lived in this neighborhood all my life, people came and left, some of them we got really close to. but then they either moved somewhere or left the country. i don't think we'd ever let any of the neighbors keep an eye on the house, current ones all have gangsters for kids, lol.
it just goes as greeting each other if we ever met outside the house, or exchange food on Ramadhan, that's about it.
Do you have a good relationship with your neighbors?
yeah I try to do whenever i can, they are my neighbors and the prophet spoke about them, that must be for a reason!
How often do you visit each other?
any weekend i dont have plans in.
Do you exchange food during Ramadhan?
Ofcourse!! even with the non Arab/muslim once and they now do it too :cute:
Do you trust your neighbor to keep an eye on your house when you're not around? ahaa and they do that too... like when they travel they would keep the key with us for like any emergencies that could happen.
I love my neighbors cause i see them good people :)
i remember 10 years ago when we first moved in the neighborhood , i had school exams , so i moved in after my family with a week. First day my mother showed me my room , i found a group of girls inside it with all the boxes open! they were trying to organize all my stuff inside and cleaning the room :)
I find it importante to keep connected with them, if anything bad hapened they will be the first to arrive!
minerva 23-02-08, 01:42 AM my childhood days was in a house in a street where all the neighbours had kids of the same age. all the mums were friends, we used to go out together, eat at each other's houses, play together, study together, go to the girl guides/scouts together....like one big family, the neighbours were allowed to tell us off if were were rowdy and vice versa with my mum. we used to sleep at each other's houses (some six houses all side by side) and we used to go swimming together.
if one of us got sick, we'd have rounds done by the other mums...one of them phoned the trusted doctor, another got the medicine, another helped mum clean the house and free it from infections, another made chicken broth. they were all there for each other.
and the funniest thing was when we had to have jabs...the pharmacist used to come to our house, and all the kids used to line up. it was one big cry.
when one of our families had trouble, all the women used to shut the kids in a tv room, while all the other women consoled the troubled one.
same with deaths and serious injuries. oh how i miss stella, francis, helen, salvina, doris....i used to call them my aunties.
where i live now, i say good morning and chit chat with most of the neighbours, but i am not close to anybody, i wish i had a couple of them to be close to, who can pop in for a coffee like the neighbours when i was a kid.
Libellula 23-02-08, 03:01 AM I only know the ones who live right next door because they know my parents, and even then it's not like we interact.
Otherwise, I don't know the others' names or what they do or how many kids are in their houses, etc. Don't really care, to be honest.

my mom wishes the same, she really enjoyed her neighborhood life when she was little, they were all like one big family..'cept in her case they REALLY were all family, lol. :P
Do you have a good relationship with your neighbors?
Honestly no, not a good relatoinship, just normal heys and byes .. this is me not my family
How often do you visit each other?
I never did.
Do you exchange food during Ramadhan?
Sometimes, yes lol.
Do you trust your neighbor to keep an eye on your house when you're not around?
My father does.
Do you have a good relationship with your neighbors?
We've got pretty good relationships with many of our neighbors, especially the one of them.
How often do you visit each other?
I don't really visit unless there's an event or something but we usually see each other and one of our neighbors always comes over or my mom would go to her house.
Do you exchange food during Ramadhan?
Yeah, definitely.
Do you trust your neighbor to keep an eye on your house when you're not around?
We haven't exactly tried it, but my little brother and sister are always at me neighbor's house, and the same goes for their daughter :).
Part of the reason why we're not so keen on moving is because of how much we like our neighborhood. I used to play with my neighbors back when I was younger and we'd always hang out at each other's houses, but we somehow drifted apart as we grew up.
