For many men, smoking has become a habit that is hard to shake. Some smoke, because of stress, others started because of peer pressure and some because it is fashionable. However, whatever the reasons, smoking can affect your sexual performance.

The more you smoke, the less your sex drive. A number of studies show that the toxins found in cigarettes can be dangerous to the testes. In addition, smoking decreases sperm density, total sperm count, total number of motile sperm and citrate concentration in sperm. It changes sperm morphology, sperm vitality and ejaculated volume of semen. Smoking also reduces the quality of the semen and sperm.

I am very strict when it comes to anything exceeding the borders of the teachings and principles of Allah swt and the Prophet:PBUH: I will be a fierce figher then.

UmKhalid we discussed this topic why smoking is haram thoroughly in my first thread in ES last year (you can refer to it if you like).

I believe low tobacco, low nicotine and low CO cigarettes have no effect on health, and this is through experience.

there is no CLEAR verse or CLEAR hadith that tells you smoking tobacco is HARAM.

Do not make haram which Allah swt and his Prophet:PBUH: said nothing about it being haram, and remember this verse very well:

i would to see a proper study on this issue.

Smoking has been shown by many study to be harmful on the body. finding were also proven at moelcular levels.

As I understand it, Ibadhis rule it 7aram, all four Sunni schools and Shia rule it Makrooh. But Hanbalis I met in Saudi are very strict about makrooh and treat it like 7aram anyway in some places...cultural I guess!

So, it's only really 7aram for Ibadhis. But I've not seen any empirical study to show that Shia or Sunni have smaller penises :hmm:

Btw..when I was in Baghdad I noticed that for some Shia clerics it appears to be compulsory! (Smoking that is, not a smaller penis..but then I didn't check).

blood vessels response to certain agents varies from one vessel to another. Smoking effect on blood supply in the penis shoudl be investigated.

follow the sunnah of the Prophet:PBUH: and eat seven numbers of dates "tamr" first thing in the morning, this will protect you from two things, poison and magic. and this is an authentic hadith.

so any poison from smoking will be neutralized, try it and find out the difference in your health.

Mariana, the bad smell of smoking comes from the tar in the cigerattes when it gets burnt.

this can be minimized by chosing a type of ciggies with the lowest tar percentage, with the help of a strong perfume.

ps. non of my wives complaint I smell like an ashtray!!!

i sent him a pm with such question because i didn't want my post to be deleted. we were supposed to be talking smoking and sex, not numerous wives.

My question about the jealousy and kids was not meant to be mean....but sheer curiosity simply because my ex came from a household where his father had two wives (mind u does not live with either) and has children in both and his mother (the first wife) doesnt' want to be around the 2nd and is a "hush hush subject." I know some muslimas do not care about being in the string of pearls while others do. Just curious but clouds can pm me and tell me if he so wishes. He doesn't have to air out his personal life here. but I can swear by Allah the almighty if smoking is prohibitted in the Quran or the Sunnah I will cut my hands before I think to touch a cigerette.

the hadith you quoted talks about avoiding suspecious actions a muslim should avoid to do, and they are many but believe me smoking is not one of them.

Only the Ibadhi sect considers smoking to be actually 7aram. Either way it's definitely bad for you, and smells, but still extremely addictive.

Its not written in quran about " injectiong your neck with drugs" as 7aram but because it will cause death then its considered as 7aram.

Can you denay that smoking makes you "ill and cause slow death" and even if it was a very small amount ?if you denay then I can get you get you many researchs which proves that it does.

Do some thing , go for a check-up and let the doctor show you a healthy non-smokers tests and prove me wrong :)
